a quick heads up-
Jb hifi have 20% of DVD's and Blurays, and iTunes cards (in store and online) till the end of today (available online with free shipping)

picked up a load of blurays for $12 (the 2 for $30 thing works with the 20% off) as well

Yeah I know the 3DS isn't much chop at the moment but Zelda is out and Super Mario 3DS, Mario Kart 3DS and Star Fox 64 3DS will be out before the end of the year.

I need something to play until PS Vita comes out :p.

I mean I can still pick up Zelda at the moment and play that for 6 months.

Eh, I know a lot of people like it but I couldn't really get into it. It's called a platformer, but it's a platformer in that late 90s "really more of an adventure game and maybe you'll jump now and then" kind of way. I remember those iffy rocket riding segments a lot more than I do any actual engaging platforming. It wasn't bad, just bland and uninteresting.

Super Monkey Ball 3D isn't great, but it's not terrible either. Just kinda short and easy with mediocre kart and fight minigames instead of the usual stable of party games.

Neither are all that good, but they show off the 3D well enough and it's a decent deal for people looking to get the system now that Zelda's out and there's other quality looking stuff lined up for the rest of the year.

Yeah for $300 you can get like 8 AAA games quite easily on Zavvi or OzGameShop. I love importing. I spend less time playing games and more time hoarding them. :(

Hey I like the 3DS. Just not many game out to make it worth buying at full price.

Also check out the FAQ section for avatar rules. Just resize it in paint. No animated Gifs for avatars.

so I was walking my dog today and noticed that my neighbour's garage was open for the first time ever... and it was filled with confederate flags. what? I don't think they're from the US.. Why would they have these flags!?

EDIT: so disappointed they got rid of animated avatars. That one would have been awesome.

The gf got screwed buying a wedding dress from overseas and is trying to take it up with Paypal. The dress she got sent is fairly different to the one she tried on before ordering. They offered to refund $10. Told her to ask Paypal to get the money back for her. Might even turn out that she gets the money back and keeps the unwanted dress.

This whole Battlefield Heroes thing has been a shitheap and a half. I've been helping out a bunch of people in the thread by PMing them.

If anyone wants to know if their username / passwords are out, let me know. I don't think AusGAF have to worry too much, though, because AusGAF ain't play games.

Oh shit, in my keenness on getting a decent version of Katamari while only owning a 360, I'd completely forgotten there was a version on PS3 by the time I bought it.

Is Forever as good as all the others? (re: framerate, gameplay etc.) Because Beautiful was pretty sketchy in that regard.

Pretty sure the 360 one is regarded as one of the worse entry's in the series. Forever seems to be the best current console version by far.

Figured as much. Always shit me how simple the graphics were yet it couldn't maintain a constant framerate. Might just keep an eye out for it in case it's cheaper used.

Let fate decide, rather than the internet ;)
