Mine, regrettably, did too.My mind went to Kpop Kara.
Windows 8 on the Windpad. HOLY FUCK. The future is now.
Running it on a shitty tablet (Dell Slate) with a shitty platform (Intel Atom with whatever crappy graphics it has) vs The Almighty AMD Fusion platform. The CPU itself ain't that flash, but a good GPU in conjunction with an OS designed to make the most of it will mask it no worries. Bit of a pain to navigate and get my head around, but the experience is as smooth as a pornstar's pubic region. And that's coming off a fresh build with no extra drivers installed at all. There are two unknown devices from what I can see, one of them being a bluetooth adapter.
But yeah, the pad is awesome (look, it's definitely a bit gaudy with the MSI logo) and from current experience, well worth getting for Windows 8.
I found the driver for it... it was azura something or other? It looks like it's the same bluetooth chipset as in some Asus device from memory (an Eee?). Either way, there are drivers out there. The three buttons don't light up, but I imagine it's nothing a visit to MSI's website to download drivers wouldn't fix.Yeah, I can't get bluetooth to work. Also, do your 3 capacitive buttons on the side light up? Also wish the vibration was adjustable, it's pretty nuts so I turn it off.
Just a reminder...
SydGAF 3: Board Games 2: Electric Boogaloo (or insert better title) is happening this Sunday from 10am onwards at my place again.

Anybody who is interested but doesn't know the details can contact me via PM.
Mine, regrettably, did too.
Lol quantic dream. Like Peter molyneaux in French form.
Valve has quashed rumors that it is developing a console-like "Steam Box" hardware standard for its Steam service. Valve's Doug Lombardi told Kotaku that the company is "building boxes" to test its "Big Picture" initiative, which will make Steam play nice with PC setups that use a television set as a display. Lombardi also noted that Valve is experimenting with things like biometric feedback, which was another aspect of the console rumor, but that such experimentation is "a long way from Valve shipping any sort of hardware."
That said, Lombardi did not dismiss the possibility of Valve-developed hardware in the future.
I saw this over at Ozbargain, GAME UK has all these pre-owned games for as little as 50p.I think delivery is 3 to 5 pounds depending on the item.

Can any of you Radelaiders suggest anything worth seeing, doing or places to eat in both McLaren Vale and Adelaide? I think the Fringe Festival is on this weekend, right?
I'd actually really like it if no press covered GDC.
Yeah, Fringe is on, grab a guide or go to http://www.adelaidefringe.com.au/ That will be most of the attractions in the city covered, as for McLaren Vale, no clue, don't head out that way often, sorry.
Adelaide is a pretty sleepy town though, be prepared.
I can't see how anyone could not agree. Big shift in quality thankfullyAnother convert to the club of "ME3's start is so fucking horrible how could you make this shit Bioware oh wtf now the game is suddenly great again."
I really don't like him in ME.Okay, Seth Green just opened his mouth, I'm back on board with ME3
Heh, I had the same thing happen to me. Was slightly disappointed.Oh man, I saw Colbert had a "Johnathan safran" as his guest and I got excited. Nope, its some dude with a hyphenated last name who wrote that shitty recent Tom hanks movie.
Was very pleased when I saw the Mark Ronson tweet saying how great that the UK charts finally had a song at number 1 that wasn't utter shit.Oh yay, ot gaf has discovered Gotye.
Some decent pickups if you search hard for them, lots of out of stock stuff though. The joys of a closing down sale!I saw this over at Ozbargain, GAME UK has all these pre-owned games for as little as 50p.I think delivery is 3 to 5 pounds depending on the item.

Through chat? Maybe. Only if you mean ask her out to a date like "wanna see this movie with me" or something. I don't see a problem with it, Facebook is a perfectly fine way of communicating with people. So AusGAF, question for you all:
Asking a woman out via Facebook - Yay/Nay/Maybe
Explanation: I have met her in real life, a few times, so it's not a creepy stalker situation. But I'm not sure when our paths would cross again.

No I was just thinking of putting it on her wall.
Seriously though, through a private message.

Do it, Most people hook up via facebook these days. There's nothing wrong with it.
Send her a text message and be all charming with some swag, ask dat grl out to a moofie and stuff.
If you ask for her number then it seems a little obvious what you're getting at. You're message may as well be like
"Hey cute thing. I don't have your number and I don't know when our paths may cross again in the near future. However I was wondering if you would like to go out sometime for lunch/dinner/movie/church. Let a brotha know."
Two hours that could be spent in spaaaace!Teeeempted to skip class for ME3. But probably should turn up to first tutorials of semester.
It's only two hours, it's only two hours, it's only two hours...
Also I started playing Dark Souls last night. I don't know how I feel about it. I can appreciate difficult games that don't hold your hand, but this pretty much tells you nothing.
What are humanity things? What do I use them for?
Hey the man is a christian, Hitting up a random church you have never been to with someone else could be an interesting experience. I assume each church is different in it's own way.
Work also doesn't end, Which is annoying. If only the unemployment market wasn't increasing I might just bail out and take a holiday then try and figure out what bullshit I can do for a new job. I totally wish I had the confidence to actually get a different job. Impossible it seems.

I thought unemployment figures were at its lowest since forever?

Man, I saw cods' reply to this quote, thought I'd jump in and mention something about Remo's Corley Motors tee (though I haven't even played Full Throttle) and you go ahead and mention it.LOGS also had those Gears 3 shirts which were okay. They all look horrible when people wear them though, need something a little more subtle like using one of the weapons companies logos or something. Idle Thumbs had a note about Remo wearing a Corley Motors shirt when he met Schaefer that is similar in what I mean, geeky yet only geeky if you knew the reference.
What did he say? Blocked at workCliffy B says some damn awesome things. Mind blown. Haven't thought much of him this generation and most of his interviews have disappointed me. Nice to hear some logic from him.

Chat's not as permanent or screenshottable by regular plebs.
I agree with Reptile on the logo thing. Either an in-game or in-movie logo, without any other adornments or go home.
Oh! Where to get the best schnitzel in Adelaide? #nottrolling

In other news, the following awesome things have happened so far with my Windpad:
* Installed Windows 8, runs amazingly
* Upgraded RAM to 4gb, runs amazinglyer
* Ordered 64gb top-shit mSATA SSD, should be top-shitter
* Found out that it's using a better GPU than I thought (6310 vs 6250) which is fucking AMAZING
I was blown away (ign.com) by the fact that I could install Media Player Classic, not adjust any settings at all and have it play a 1080p MKV with literally no jank or judder at all. The CPU barely budges! I'm in love with this device. Best purchase ever.
<3 u, reptile
