Rez: Fuck, that does sound shit. It's not going to stop me trying the first few, but it does sound like they've lost the plot. I might have a look and see if there's anything drastically different about the team that worked on it compared to the rest of the series, as a matter of curiosity.

Yeah by all means, play AC1, the setting is fantastic and the basic gameplay is there, but it's a bit clunky. AC2 is legitimately amazing. Then it nose-dives. Pretty sure the teams are completely different. Different director for Revelations and 3 at least. As it stands with AC3, I have never played a video game that is simultaneously incredibly boring and limited, yet filled with massive amounts of bloat. It's so far up it's own arse it's not funny.

They really need to strip it all back, go back to the drawing board with the main missions and say, "Okay, what would make you feel like an acrobatic assassin doing badarse things?"

My copy of Dishonored shipped only a day or two after I ordered, arrived after a week (roughly). My second game (WRC3) shipped only last week, so I'm expecting it today or tomorrow. Definitely not ordering from them again, but this time I'm not exactly pissed that I got two top-tier games for $60.

What platform you getting WRC3 on? I'm going to jump, but not sure if I want it on console or portable.

Doubt I'll order from them again either. I had two games from Zavvi and one from OGS, all ordered after the VideoEzy sales, all have arrived.

The big problem (one, one of the big problems) with AC3 is, as reptile mentions, that it's made a boatload more money than AC:Revelations, which was the highest-selling AC game. At least at this point of its life. So Ubisoft will probably be encouraged to keep heading in the direction they're already heading.

The state where, oddly enough, until recently, sale of alcohol was all socialised and done by government. Luckily they stopped that and now I can buy beer in supermarkets and pharmacies (yes, pharmacies).

My point was that these would've happened even if Romney won, since in America, most of the power is with the states.

I watched the Topgear Bond Car Special today, it was pretty fun. It made me keen to see Skyfall and also try and watch some of the older Bond films. I caught glimpses of them when Channel 7 or whoever was playing them all but didn't catch any of them start to finish. The only pre-Pierce Brosnan Bond film I've seen was A View to Kill which isn't exactly top quality.

I watched the Topgear Bond Car Special today, it was pretty fun. It made me keen to see Skyfall and also try and watch some of the older Bond films. I caught glimpses of them when Channel 7 or whoever was playing them all but didn't catch any of them start to finish. The only pre-Pierce Brosnan Bond film I've seen was A View to Kill which isn't exactly top quality.

I think it is possibly the best Moore film of the lot. So yeah, it's pretty bad. Stick with Connery and Dalton. Thats where the good stuff is.

Just watch them all in order, I'd say about half haven't aged well, particularly the Moore ones (but the mother in law thinks they're the best ones). Shouldn't be hard to get hold of them.

Then for extra points watch Austin Powers right after (just the first) to see that it's a first rate parody of the genre.

Apparently it lets you view essentially anything from anywhere by altering HTML headers or something. That particular one lets you view Comedy Central (ie. Daily Show) from anywhere, but I suppose you can use it for anything in any country, as long as it's browser-based.

PC. Yeah, I'm definitely giving them a miss. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy with how much money I saved (and it helped that I wasn't super eager for either game, just happy to get them cheap) but I certainly won't be gambling on such a varied likely delivery date.

I'm still waiting on Unit 13 to ship, 7-10 days was the estimate. Order was back on the 23rd. Can't get a reply out of them for ETA.
