BTW, it has a 25-pin female connector on the back of it, that I'm not really sure of. Will most likely pull it apart tonight (pending investigation of warranty stickers) to see how the put the thing together.

www.gamesmen.com.au and search for "tank". Be wary though - they have them for both 360 and PS3.Bernbaum said:I'm very interested. Where did you get it?

I've not laid hands on either of the Matcatz sticks, but IMO this would have to kill them. I've always preferred the concave-style clicky buttons and bat-top, so I'm going to be fairly biased. I'll lay out the pro's and con's of this stick (for 360) anyway:
Pro's:
* Bat-top joystick with 8-way gate (I think... at least it feels like it)
* Concave, "clicky" buttons
* Rock-solid steel case
* Cheap (stick + next-day delivery was $218)
* Same button layout as the Matcatz sticks
* Is in stock NOW
Con's:
* No headset jack
* Guide button does not have LED's
* No artwork (if that's your thing)
* Can't be custom fitted with other components as easily as the TE/SE (I suppose, haven't ripped the thing open yet).
* Ugly colour scheme
12 months it says on the box. On the receipt: "Receipt required for refunt or exchange. Refund on unopened goods only. Faulty goods exchanged for identical item only. All refunds, exchanges, faulty goods within 7 days of purchase." So, the normal stuff.-=DoAvl=- said:nice. thanks shaneus. what kind of warranty do you get with it?
diss said:I hope the THREE HUNDRED dollar price tag on the DSi means they intend to keep on selling the DS Lite. Perhaps even for a cheaper price so if mine ever carks out or I drop it I could replace it with a like for like replacement

Just wondering where the cheapest place to find the House of the Dead: Overkill - Big Bang Box is? I remember it was on the JB hifi website but I cant seem to find it anymore.... Is it still being sold?
Hi guys, long time lurker.
Just wanted to drop to my Australian co-patriots the link to a podcast myself and a few buddies started up. With GFW and 1UP Yours (as we knew it) being gone, we felt slightly compelled to give it a bash. To give you an idea of tone, most of us are from a combination of Something Awful, Hyper and PC Powerplay forums. Some of us have freelanced for a few Aussie publications and admined the odd site over the years, but we're certainly industry outsiders.
We're under no illusions of being as professional as any of the big network shows, but we're trying to be a bit more off the cuff.

Any feedback is appreciated, we're still experimenting with the format. You Gaffies know your shit so if you think you'd be able to sacrifice an evening to Skype - we're pretty liberal as for people jumping in to say "Hi!" and regale us with tales of a week's gaming.
BTW, that's the stock-standard response for any item out of stock at CD Wow. I had two separate orders for single items that I eventually cancelled after receiving this message six or so times for about a month and a half. Not surprised they got hammered on orders for SFIV.noodalls said:Dear NAME,

//Ouch
Damn. I guess if it looks too good to be true, it probably is. Does anyone know how they managed to undercut every other player by $30... and why it didn't work in the end? I'm assuming that stock of SF4 shouldn't be that hard to come by.Bernbaum said:BTW, that's the stock-standard response for any item out of stock at CD Wow. noodalls said:Just for the record guys, I put my order in on the 24th of Jan this year. Don't know if they ship in order of orders going in or not.
CD Wow are pretty quick to refund your payment-- it's through PayPal so they only need to reverse the transaction. Credit Card payments take a couple of days to come back through, haven't used any other method.evlcookie said:Hrm that's a bit annoying. Maybe i will cancel my order and just pick it up locally. Do you get your money back? :lol
Just email them with the order number, they'll respond within a day.Shaneus said:Anyone know how to cancel an order with CD-WOW? Can't find the option anywhere. I'm not fussed about the price anymore, I just want to play the freakin' game!
I will only consider them if I'm reasonably sure it's in stock- if it's listed as "In Stock" in green text, that's normally a good sign.x3n05 said:I have stopped shopping with CD-Wow, I have found their service and stock availability to have severely degraded in recent times.
So gimped boxart huh? Do the collectors editions have the fan art winners from the competition that Capcom ran leading up to it's release? One of the winners was a fellow gaffer.Nemesis556 said:For anyone who bought the collector's edition of Street Fighter IV and are not happy with their shitty box art (I know there are some of you out there)
I have some covers that are EXACTLY THE SAME (IE Back and Spine) except they have the nice, spiffy, new artwork that you get with the standard edition - straight from THQ. If you want one, shoot me off a PM and I'll send them to ya. They fit perfect in the cases (well, for 360, I didn't buy a PS3 copy >_>)
But yeah, PM me. I've got 4 360 ones left and 5 PS3 ones.
According to Capcom, there were 6 different pieces of liner-art. The standard and collectors edition cases as well as the anime case that came with some copies were to have their own piece of artwork, which would be different between the 360 and PS3 versions.Nemesis556 said:There was no artwork inside the box. Was it the same for standard editions?
no fucking way.... is that real?Bernbaum said:According to Capcom, there were 6 different pieces of liner-art. By the sounds of it, it was only for North America
The great thing is that our fellow gaffer Xavier Garcier got his entry on the inside of the 360 collectors edition:

I want the 360 collectors edition. When you look real close at it, the artist included this nice treat:

JB's online store lists "Exclusive downloadable content" as one of the features, does that mean at least some of those ridiculous alternate costume DLC are free if you buy it, or something else, or did JB just lie or have the wrong info up?
Router said:Its a code to download one of the costume packs for free when they go up.
I saw a couple at a JB HiFi today for $89. Would be worth doing a ring around to see if stores in your area still have it.ninjapanda said:Hey ppls,

ok fair enough.jercruz said:cdwow offers games much much cheaper than going to shops here in australia (A$60 VS A$100).
And times are a bit tough so i want to stretch my gaming money as much as possible... thats why i pre-ordered at cdwow. but i just might shop around if it takes too long...
