Did anyone make any description for Active Raid? If not, here's mine:
If one hasnt seen Patlabor then why should they watch this?

They're both eligible.
What I found so engaging about the show was the character interactions that were brought together, explored and deepened because of food. Sure you can get super reductive about it and just say the show is about a bunch young girls and women eating food but it is much more than that it you bother to pay attention.
It is through the eating and sharing of food with friends and family the helps Ryo come to terms with the death of her grandmother which is a always present issue. It also helps her get over her loneliness of having to live in a apartment by herself with her parents travelling aboard.
Through Kirin and Shiina you get to see Ryo experience a sort of alternate family life through the time she spends with Kirin at her apartment and the time she spends with Shina's family as their mansion.
I'm not going to go on and on but I admit I fouding the show to be extremely touching and sincere about Ryo's relationships and her relationship to her late grandmother. There was even very touching moment in which Ryo's aunt tell her that her mother was actually a terrible fucking cook when they were kids and used to give them horrible boxed lunched and she learned to be a better cook when taking care of Ryo. That goes beyond just watching girls eat food, at least for me it did.
Pretty good, I guess, but I have a couple of comments:
1. They are using human-sized power armor, not giant robots.
2. You know, I have a better idea: why not watch both?
Otherwise, this would be like saying people shouldn't watch The Big O because Batman: The Animated Series exists.I honestly appreciate telling people to go back and watch the classics, but I don't think that makes keeping up with newer shows that might carry even a fraction of the same spirit a mutually exclusive proposition. That said, I am getting more of a Tiger and Bunny vibe than a pure Patlabor one here.(which is still fine by me because both were good series)
I suppose we just have a difference of opinion on the show then and that's fine.I didn't find that the show presented that in any sort of insightful or emotionally touching manner. The notion of cooking or doing X for others has been done to death in anime as a medium and so I don't find that concept particularly novel. In addition to that the actual execution of that theme from what I saw of the first four episodes was largely flat and unmoving. The direction didn't evoke any sort of emotion from me other than apathy.
The character interactions themselves were certainly not entertaining enough for me to sit through 12 episodes that largely centered around them.
Ok, I could let go of the Megadeus thing in the Big O dub but now they can say Amadeus properly and I'm back to shaking my head.
I think it's time for me to start keeping a list.

1. Really? They looked like giant robots to me in the PVs. I'll just edit that to mecha I guess.
2. I'm not against one deciding to watch both, I'm just pointing out the elements that I think are similar and saying that whatever the show is going to do, Patlabor probably already does a lot better (Granted, I still need to watch Patlabor myself, but still). I guess I can edit it as to not sound too pessimistic towards it, but I highly doubt that this show featuring CG mecha action is going to legitimately surpass what is regarded as an old classic with 2D mecha action, just saying.
Oh it's that one show I know from gifs and mads.
Ehhh count me in, one more shite show won't make a difference.
Fine, I'll join in as long as I'm free to drop it if I feel I'm wasting my time.
Ok I'm down with this.
The pact is sealed.
Anyone else?
*sigh* How are you guys going to be watching it? One a week?
I dunno, I was thinking of doing one a day actually, but if everyone is slow I'll just take my time too. Definitely going to watch the first episode soon, just to get the ball rolling, and we'll see from there. I don't really want to drag this out, hoping to get it over with in a week or two at most otherwise it'll get in the way of the new season!
Concrete Revolutio - 2
Damn that dose of cold, harsh reality! The time jump is used for good effects in this episode.
I really need to get back into the whole anime watching again. Just not a lot interests me.

Can I suggest you come back to anime by watching M3 (if you like Mecha), as well as checking out Seraph of the End and Glasslip?

I wonder if Wada Kaoru will come back to do the music for the new D.Gray-Man anime. He did the music for InuYasha and it was pretty great.
Has he done anything recently?

Thanks for the support #GalaxyWalkListen to DTL if he tells you to watch Haikyuu or Tribe Cool Crew tbh
Doing Ace Attorney anime music.
Wada is composing for the currently running Kindaichi anime as well as Ace Attorney in the spring.
Did I just miss it all or was no one really talking about Koufuku Graffiti all year? Unless it burns and crashes after this, I really don't understand.
Ugh.. I almost have my KyoAni collection of BluRays finished. I just need Hibike! Euphonium to get released. :l Then I can work on PA Works.
Concrete Revolutio - 3
Am I supposed to feel sympathetic to detective Shiba?
Nah, he's lost his sense of justice along the way but in a different manner than Jiro had. He's arguably the most underdeveloped in the first season but looks to be prominent in the second.
do you have hyouka
By the end of the season, you won't feel sympathetic towards -any- of the characters in Concrete Revolutio. Lol.

I am fine with that, it's just that with the information given he looks absolutely idiotic.
Nope. :c I don't have Hyouka, Hibike, or Lucky Star yet. Everything else though. I actually didn't watch Hyouka until earlier this year somehow.
