How can we be in hell when we're surrounded by idols?

So it appears Just Because's production is completely crumbling. The director, Atsushi Kobayashi, had a meltdown on Twitter about it, some of which is now deleted. He's still fixing storyboards for episode 8. He blamed the studio (which is new to full-length TV anime) for being incompetent at animation production, and said that he cried for the first time in 20 years over it.
It's a shame, because you can see Just Because is really strong conceptually with its attention to detail in nuanced character acting and delicate character interactions, but the animation staff are ending up incapable of following through on what the director wants to do with it.
What about using a backwards held spoon?

Really? Did they increase the pace, because the first episode only covered the first two chapters of the first book. Did episode 2 already introduce?Puriketsu and Ashley
With the first episodes pacing I would have figured it would end either at the end of book 2 orwhen Puriketsu and Chihiro 'meet'

That's disappointing. This was probably my favorite series this season so far. I hope they can figure out a way to salvage the situation.

At this point, I can't see how the show can make it to the end without a substantial delay or airing episodes of unfinished stills.
I really think about reading the manga, but binge watching this when it finished airing was a good idea, so I don't know if I can take it, waiting week after week for a chapter to be released.
Also, quoting you revealed the spoiler. Good thing I have no idea what it's supposed to mean and who you're talking about
Made in Abyss had some of the best world building I've seen in a while. I'm genuinely happy with how this show turned out.

Sorry! It's not really a spoiler since you finished the anime.
Well the latest chapter from manga is from July so it's more like waiting for months instead of weeks... =(

Don't remember hearing production issues for the studios previous project Gamers last season. I'm guessing burnt out animators from that and not enough outsourced animators to pick up the slack?
I'm trying to draw a line between him fixing episode 8 story boards and the studio's incompetence in animation production. Was something miscommunicated/misinterpreted in the boards or was there some misinformation on deadlines?
That episode 8's production is still backed up at storyboards means the show is far behind where it needs to be to finish on time. Plus, given that episode 2 already had five storyboarders, the director is likely still having to review multiple people's storyboards and correct them all to bring them to a minimum level of quality, which has to be taxing. It's a sign that the production hasn't been scheduled and organized well, which is the most important responsibility of any primary contractor studio.
I'm really enjoying Welcome to the N.H.K. The talk at the beginning of episode 6, in which Misaki advises to Sato to look down on people to feel more at ease around them, was hilarious.
Ah, it makes sense but frankly it seems to be the usual fare in the industry(?), though it's unfortunate that it happened to something that looked so good. I am going to watch it anyways, I initially came across the prominent animation bits on twitter.
The most relatable anime episode ever. The infernal creatures that mosquitos are and the Sisyphean work that is murdering them all at night without waking other people up.
Ishihama is that you.
BEEG! WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU JUST DO?!

We are aware of the subtitle placement issues on IOS mobile devices. Our developer team is currently focused on resolving this issue by launching an IOS app. The good news is that this app is only a few weeks away from being announced.
Lupin III - The Blood Spray of Goemon Ishikawa
Didn't like this, and the gore was unpleasant. Lupin with a super serious tone just doesn't work for me.
Eh, while I consider Jigen's Gravestone superior I must say I had a really great time with this one as well. Hawk was fun.Lupin III - The Blood Spray of Goemon Ishikawa

I hope Koike keeps making these specials.
Contacted Hidive to ask about iOS showing subtitles smack in the middle of the screen and was told that their app is a few weeks away from being anounced...

hmmm attack on trains is getting an english dub earlier than I expected given the silence it has had

with those out of the way maybe we will finally get an announcement about Re:zero.

Might give their service a try once the app launches. Just wished Sentai actually put all their Simulcasts on it here in the US instead of sticking it on Amazon.
And Konosuba.
I'd definitely do a rewatch of both once they have been dubbed.
