This is actually the first news about this movie that makes me excited.
RDJ returning didn't have the same impact because he's not returning as Tony Stark.
Though I have to say, I knew Chris Evans was returning at some point. In 2019 he said he was willing, and unlike RDJ, Chris doesn't have much of a career outside the MCU. I doubt he is getting paid anywhere near the amount RDJ is.

I was fine with it before the Falcon show came out but now I just want him to go back to being the sidekick
what in the what? Sure Evans hasn't found another role with the TITANIC impact as Steve Rogers, but the guy has done an enormous amount of work since. To me it looks like the career path of a guy who made a GIGANTIC amount of money and can now just take stuff he wants.

I never finished FFFS but when they flee their dimension to come to "marvel prime" are there other folks who come with? Is "evil Tony St........errrrr Dr. Doom" and "evil Captain Nazi Steve Rogers" both from the FF Earth? Evan's age would fit for a 1940's made Cap now in the equivalent 60's without any long cryo-sleep, though I suppose Stark's age needs adjusting then, or who cares, really? Chris Evans is a great actor (see Sunshine) but his track record since his departure from Marvel is questionable at best.
Dude needs to fire his agent, just like Tom Holland needs to.
I feel like both of these guys said "give me projects where I get to be home every night, make lots of $$$, and don't have to work too hard or starve myself to get 5% bodyfat for a single scene."

I dunno man, both of them are probably wealthy beyond their means from their Marvel adventures. Which is why their trajectory makes no sense. At least for Chris Evans. Tom Holland is just supremely mid but Chris Evans can do way better than random schlock like Red One, he should do more projects that require some acting.
Maybe he's just too typecast at this point just like Ed O'Neill. Took him like 40 years to escape from the Al Bundy persona.

I don't typically jump head over heels for big franchise IPs. However, I am fairly invested in Feige's Spider-Man and seeing all these unique characters and 20+ year stories come together for the first time at a scale like this hypes me up. I don't know how even if they screw up the story this could flop. It'll still be a treat to watch even if you may hate the direction cinema has moved in for the last 10 - 20 years. There is an earnest appeal in the "Wow!"-factor that I think everyone enjoys. My three favorite movies are gritty philosophical dramas like Ordinary People, The Ice Storm, and The Name of The Rose. I am still excited for this movie, as well as Brand New Day.

First teaser will be on Steve, Second Thor, third Doom. The fourth one is believed to be the actual teaser trailer for the movie. Steve's one of the people Doom's after since he's the first one to cause the incursion during Endgame by going back to Peggy.

I think he refers to his "daughter", which is called Love. He promised Gorr that he will take care of her after his passing at the end of Thor 4.
