Great reviews apart from the usual biased suspects (gamespit). Two 9/10 games in a row from MS now while Sony just rubs your face in how rich you've made their shareholders. Enjoy the future you made for yourselves while I'm playing great games.

And that’s with the usual Xbox shill sites already posting their biased inflated scores (e.g. Pure Xbox, TrueAchievements, XboxEra, SomosXbox, etc.). I’m actually surprised Windows Central gave it an 80, which is awfully fair of them.
I suspect it will stay around the high 70s on MC, low 80s on OC.

Scores don't mean much.
The text of reviews are often way more valuable. People give and take points for weird things that are completely inconsistent.

Ehh I’m not sure about that. Look at other high scoring RPGs from this gen like BG3, Phantom Liberty, Elden Ring, Metaphor: ReFantazio, etc. Were those games made to cater to reviewers instead of gamers?
And just reading the reviews it sounds like this game has the same “decent but not great” energy that Outer Worlds had

Luke Stephens crushed the game in his review. Basically the reviewers who were objective and let us know about Veilguards' shortcomings, are doing the same with Avowed. Those are the people you should listen to.

I can't believe there are people in this thread taking these reviews at face value. Have some self respect.
Listen to the people that will tell you it's short comings with balance.
Luke Stephens also mentioned his XBOX cloud saves worked on xbx but not on pc so sounds like that is broken. Took him multiple hours to complete due to bugs.

I see what you mean, but text has natural limitations on which information it can convey about a video game.
Video games are a combination of traditional games, sports, cutscenes(movies), sound, music and text along with the most important innovation, real-time computer graphics.
"Compressing" all this information down to text obviously removes a lot of important information.

Maybe one day but after a couple of reviewers I like they say they fumbled on what makes an Obsidian RPG special and that the world is so static, I ain’t paying premium.

Lower than I expected, not a must-play but with Gamepass it’s already there so. Looked at some videos. UI looks cluttery with all the life bars all over the screen, can hopefully tweak that somehow in settings or mods. And it’s so odd that they still haven’t fixed the conversation animations in the final build. Lip sync is terrible.
