Back from Los Angeles (and E3) how well did this forum manage?

On the Tuesday morning before I was leaving for LA, I noticed that the forum was going quite slow. Everyone was going crazy reading about the PS3 and looking at the screenshots.

Anyways, I'm just curious how the forums held up during the crunch time? I also notice that we hit a record number of users during this time (Congrats GAF!)

pretty well. Slow during the day, but i would usually just wait til late at night to get caught up on all the days news and the forum would run as smooth as usual.

Went down a couple times around the conferences, but we were up for all of E3 proper. Slow during peak times, but functional.

The highest user # was actually reset during e3, for whatever unknown reason. We were at 2273 during the conferences, but as far as I saw we didn't break the 2309 set by the slashdotting.

The forum entirely vanished for roughly 4 hours for me, I think the night before the Nintendo conference my time (aprrox 5 hours before the conf)

That's odd. I haven't been able to see the OT for the past week or so...It was only listing gaming discussion and OT wasn't even listed

Search was disabled too, gotta cut off the bottlenecks. There's no room for girls when it comes to gaming, fellas.

For the greatest thread ever about the greastest even ever, just search the topic Thursdayton.

Ok that Thursdayton thread is 31 pages long. Can someone summarize it for me? :lol

Forum amazingly held up during the period. I think the fact it didn't crash and burn had more to do with the paltry amount of threads created about games and game news during E3. Much of the really good information about games didn't really come out until Thursday/Friday. On console launch day - the forum was up and down, but was available for much of it.

A sad tale of Drinky and his dream.
All day Thursday, I kept hearing murmurs of a big annoucement and speculation thereof. On the show floor. It was heartbreakingly hilarious.
