Thoughts? Sweden is by far the most welcoming nation to the Syrian migrants. With a population of just 9.5 million, they've already taken in over 100,000 refugees and plan to accommodate the 150,000 more that could come. But all of a sudden, far right and anti-immigrant parties are now getting 20% of the popular vote and rising, more and more are verbally abusing migrants who come on trains, there have been arson attacks just in the last week against refugee shelters etc. Sweden is usually at the forefront in terms of humanitarian and social help, and so if they're getting fed up, you just know this will not end well.

A fire at a center for asylum seekers in Sweden forced at least 14 people to flee for safety Tuesday in the latest suspicious blaze targeting migrant sites in a country struggling with a crush of refugees.
The incident near Munkedal, about 200 miles southwest of Stockholm, was under investigation as possible arson, but no determination on the cause was immediately made, said police spokesman Stefan Gustafsson.

Last Saturday, an old school building in Onsala, south of Gothenburg, caught fire on Saturday evening. It was the third time in a week that prospective asylum accommodation has been badly damaged by a fire.
The fire occurred just a day after a school, just south of Ljungby in Småland, was also destroyed by fire. The school building was to be used to accommodate refugees and had recently been decorated.
On Tuesday night a building in Arlöv in Skåne, designed for unaccompanied refugee children, was badly damaged. The centre was due to be open to the children the following day.
Two months ago, two other refugee centres were the targets of arson attacks. There have been a suspected 14 arson attacks on asylum centres since the start of the year.

Lofven's minority government faces a backlash from a center-right and far-right opposition. The main center-right Moderates, for years champions of immigration, now call for an end to granting permanent residency for asylum seekers.
In a country where questioning immigration was socially taboo a few years ago, several of the biggest newspapers are now criticizing the government's policy.
The anti-immigration Sweden Democrats, the third biggest party in parliament, have risen further in polls, catching around a fifth of voters. They will start advertising in Middle Eastern media to deter people from coming to Sweden.
