In response to your first comment, I was being hyperbolic but I'll expand on this below...
You're doing the classic "I came in really hot but now I am going to attempt to appear really level headed and paint you as the crazy one" approach which is dumb but anyways. You made your position in the beginning as this long time fan of the Battlefield franchise which is fine but then you posted the picture and apparently if this one skin is in the game (it isn't) that alone will make you stop playing this long time franchise that you have so faithfully been a fan of. Saying such dramatic things like "I guess it was a good run after all these years", like yea, I think you're being a giant child over something so minor that AGAIN doesn't even exist. That alone kinda shocks me that such a long time fan of the series didn't even take the 5 minutes to go and and verify the information before coming in here and making the post you did about how a potential holiday skin for one character in the game is the most egregious thing that goes against EVERYTHING that the BF franchise stands for and then you try and spin it like I am the one that is triggered, l...o...l.
So no I am not upset, you are yet one of many in the last couple of days who jumped on the bandwagon to lose their minds over something on the internet concerning something that doesn't even exist because on the internet it's all about REACT before THINK. It's less about you having issues with the game, look at my previous post and see that I have many, it's just tiring seeing people show up and essentially regurgitate the same shit yet can't take the time to verify information and need others to apparently do it for them. Also maybe the never have kids comments was slightly out of line but to be fair if this really ruffles your feathers that much maybe consider a cat.
Your lack of reading comprehension certainly explains your ridiculously emotional response to my original comment. I made a point of saying (as) "I learn more and more about the game I just don't know anymore. I'm not even going to reiterate it because everyone knows by now.", I wasn't going to go through the litany of changes made to 2042 since they've been discussed ad nauseum already, I then brought up the outfit as the perfect visual representation of how far the tone of the series has changed. My opinions weren't based simply on the outfit, it's very obvious from both my comments that isn't the case. But hey, you're all fired up cause people are complaining about the game and went off the handle.
But yes, keep ignoring everything Ive said and try to make it like the outfit is my only issue.
And even then, as I explained, "issue" may not even be the right word. "Not what I'm looking for in the series" is probably more apt, again I never said the game is shit, or the developers are shit, I merely explained how this just isn't what I want from a Battlefield game.
But yes, I'm a child for voicing an opinion with a few swear words in it.
I honestly didn't realize the gaming community was filled with such mentally sensitive children, fuck me I hope these people don't have kids or choose to never have them if they get this shaken up over a video game character dressing up as a fictional holiday icon.
Yes, that's a rational response showing you are not "upset" over an opinion that doesn't align with yours. This is exactly how an adult, not a child, would respond to someone's opinion about a
videogame.
And you can keep moving the goalposts and say "they aren't releasing it!" as much as your little heart desires, but that doesn't change the fact that someone was paid to design and finalize that outfit, with the full intention of having it released
before EA walked the decision back after it saw the reaction to it. And even then, I didn't shit on the game or call for people on the team to be fired or whatever. It's their game, their ip, they have every right to move the game forward in whatever direction they choose to...
All I ever said was that the game isn't Battlefield to me, that it's moving in a direction that doesn't jive with what I'm looking for.
And still you'll have the complete lack of self awareness to reply to me like this..
I honestly didn't realize the gaming community was filled with such mentally sensitive children, fuck me I hope these people don't have kids or choose to never have them if they get this shaken up over a video game character dressing up as a fictional holiday icon.
..and turn around and act like I'm some frothing lunatic.
It's ok, no one is taking the videogame away from you. You still have it and have every right to enjoy it, I never said otherwise. And don't worry, it appears EA is going balls deep with this fortnight-is hero character battle royal type game in the future, and I hope you enjoy yourself with it to be honest.
But you really need to grow up and understand that the world isn't an echo chamber, that others have differing opinions. That others will voice those opinions, sometime they will voice them in toxic vitriolic ways. Sometimes they'll be voiced passionately, but in the end the sooner you realize the world isn't going to conform to your nice neat little bubble and think exactly like you do the better off you'll be trust me.
You'll certainly be in a much healthier state of mind where someone saying a game is no longer for them doesn't result in you instantly frothing at the mouth and lashing out. I'm kinda done derailing the thread with trying to unravel your lunacy, I'm moving on.
