Battlefield 6 Beta |OT| Open Beta/Closed Weapons.

The spotting definetly needs to be toned down. Would like to see them bring back manual spotting and remove all automatic spotting to be honest.

Shotguns are bound for a big nerf so no sense really complaining about that too much.

Those are my two main gripes with the beta. Overall I'm having a great time with it.
 
Playing right now. The gunplay feels fine. My problem are the maps. To much singular in some areas. You get asked to be shot.

There are some really terrible design choises for the map layout.

And is funny that you need to maintain the start button of the Dualsense to see the scoreboard. This is like 'Ok, I'll put scoreboards this time, but will be a loads of layers and obstacles to reach scoreboard'.

Speak of, there are a loads of visual glitches. I'll give a pass because is the BETA, but they are there on base PS5.

Bots are useless and became more aparent when people start to ragequit.

There are odd things like, you take the same amount of time to capture a flag with one person vs loads.

It was taking the same time when I and more like 20 folks on a single flag.

Overall is a mix bag. Gunplay fine, Classes are good, not amazing. Level design meh.

Hope gets a big improve by the time this game launch.

OST is meh, but you can skip.

The shotgun is so wonky.

For me it either drops people from far away or I hit someone three times in the chest 10 feet away and they survive.

They really need a hardcore mode too where all huds and stuff are off. It's the best mode in COD.

Most gun fights I feel I'm seeing the past, I've had multiple instances where I die and the kill shows a dude standing in front of me, well obviously no one was there on my screen. Makes gun fights completely unpredictable and inconsistent.

Fix that and then everyone can have a better opinion of the TTK

Yup. There's some proper funky shit going on with the hitreg and tickrate. Many instances of shooting first, getting 6+ hit markers of 25 damage and not killing a guy, to dying in an instant when the server finally decides that no, you didn't do that damage and yes, he actually shot first.

It doesn't help that you can't see ping or where the server is
 
What setting is everyone using on PS5 Pro, Balanced or Performance?

Oh and Breakthrough rocks. I'm a Conquest veteran since BF1942 and I find myself playing Breakthrough almost exclusively.

Yeah agree. Shame there's no way to lock the weapons on Breakthrough. Hopefully next weekend.

I usually like pump actions but I'm looking forward to getting hold of an AA-12 or something when the game launches.

Excited for more weapons and maps in general really. I guess that's the intention.

Running Performance on my Pro. I've only played Conquest so far.

Yeah I've been beamed by it at mid range quite a few times. Just made me laugh out loud to be honest.

The balancing really starts to get out of wack when players start unlocking the flachette rounds and slugs. The range with these ammo types is better and more consistent than buckshot rounds.

I'd like to see them tone down the rate of fire because its super fast and two body shots with slugs at pretty much any range is a kill. It shouldnt be able to consistently beat out an SMG and especially an assualt rifle at 30m imo.

shotgun with slugs and optic is actually the best DMR in the game rn

You can see ping, there's an option in interface to turn it on, I have it enabled
 
Funny how they moved away from all chat in 2042 because its toxic, but all i see is GG from both sides after a match is over in this game. Havent seen any toxic chat in 14 hours

So fun, I'm shocked it runs great on my 6600 so I don't need to play it on ps5 instead. My only issue after a few matches is being 1 shot from full health by a shot gun from across a road.

The default controls are awful, look up the tactical brit for settings.

The stick tuning is essential as well, the deadzone setting are on like 20 by default, and should be around 5 (stick drift dependant) my friend said it felt like aiming in custard, until he did the above settings and tuning

Indeed there are loads of buttons and layers to config.

No so great. And as I mention, holding 'start' button just to see scoreboard is funny. Sometimes the game don't register the feedback, so instead of showing the scoreboard the game show the settings.

The only consistent toxic chat I've seen in 10+ hours is how some retard always ends up driving the tank and camps towards the back instead of pushing (breakthrough attack)
 
Playing on both my 9070xt PC and the PS5 Pro. Is FSR4 being used? Looks great.

Also on Pro- looks very good too on performance mode. I'd be happy to play there too.

GG sometimes are seeing as toxic for snowflakes.

Brazillians for example don't even know the meaning of GG, they just spam at the end of the match saying 'GG easy'.

Day after day is become more apparent that the folks in charge of BF 2042 are DEI hired. They saw all those stuff in the previous BF as a problem to solve and somehow they solved.

I really look forward to seeing how the TDM mode feels as that's my favorite mode in COD when I just want to jump in and squeeze off a few games in a 30 minute span or so
 
Reached rank 15 and completed enough challenges to unlock all the skins available. I think im done with the game until next weekend. I can already feel fatigue setting in and don't want to burn myself out.

Honestly for a open bèta I find this very impressive. I remember the beta of what was it, BF3 back then? I remember seeing crazy graphical glitches like soldiers with stretched out giraffe necks and what not.

The last two days I've been mostly playing on Balanced mode. I like the improved visuals of this mode atm. It's a fair bit less fluid than Performance mode but at least it runs at what seems to be a locked 60fps. But Performance is the best when it comes to fluidity and response time.

God dammit. I have a key for the beta for a few days now. Installed the game, but to play it, i need to do some changes in the bios, and that has a chance of screwing my windows install, and i am too pussy to do it😥

Performance. It's a beta multiplayer game and it looks great on my 77" OLED.
