Battlefield 6 Beta |OT| Open Beta/Closed Weapons.

So 1/100 towards their 100 million concurrent goal.
I dont think they said concurrent did they? Stupid target but that is next to impossible. The whole of steam is only around 40 million ccu.

They must be around 30 million players though, expect the bullshit engagement tweets shortly

I got the squad back and we played for like 3 hours yesterday, it was glorious. I love this game, even with its flaws. Peak battlefield is when you are playing with all your buddies and everyone is having fun.

The net code for us south americans (Chile) is awful though. I get killed in like 1/3rd of a second everytime. Also, If i try to run and gun, i ALWAYS lose. So we had to play strategically.

Seems decent but I dont think this will be the one to pull me back in (havent cared about the series since BF1). The maps dont seem quite up to par with the classics.

Also, guess i'm a bigot but once again the sheer amount of female voices shouting across a goddamn active warzone really detracts from the immersion for me.

This is 2042 all over again, this rules.
oh-really.gif

I hope you find what your looking for.
Well, given the pace of AI, maybe these trivial things aren't very important anymore. Folks should just enjoy the moment for what it is.

The next great Battlefield(s) will neither be commercial nor the property of EA. We're in the twilight of intellectual property.

buddies squad definitely mitigate the fast TTK with healings....

but i still want DICE to give at least +25% longer health/survival.

Whutttt? They took away Breakthrough?

Edit:

Eh, it's not so bad. Been playing Breakthrough for so long I kinda forgot how fun Conquest is.

I agree, I honestly had no idea there would be female soldiers going into the game, I though they removed them altogether... Oh well, the game is still awesome though.

What controller settings are people using?

Bizarrely and definitely a first, I've barely had to touch mine. Some sensitivity increase tweaking in the horizontal axis including ramp up time, but that's it. For those who think it feels a bit 'heavy' on a controller, reduce your right stick inner deadzone to as low as you can get away with, makes a BIG difference to response i.e. target acquisition.

I've never, EVER known an online shooter to essentially just play well for me out of the box. It's clear someone on the team has poured a shit tonne of time into honing the controller defaults this time. Normally, I have to adjust everything and it's a bit of a nightmare that I dread having to do, but I was feeling good and playing well in under three minutes with this. Underrated kudos imo.

I just seen a few people complaining that the the default settings are shit,so I was just wondering if I could make it any better

Best off trying for yourself. What works for some doesn't for others. I will say though the menus and options in this game are confusing as fuck.

😱😱

Here's why Playstation don't want crossplay

Notice all the people not getting insta deaths, all jave connection issues, hence why I use a vpn. Get a ping of around 60-120ms and the game plays better.

Lag compensation is an utter joke in dice games. Have a worse connection to jave a better experience....

Fuck me, is everyone brain dead in this game? Back cap spawn point after spawn point I put down, does anyone spawn on them....no they just push the same flag and die, and wonder why we lose.

These CoD players are the lowest hanging fruit in gaming, all utter retards, they wouldn't understand tactics if it came up behind them and bummed them

Love it how COD is to blame. People are retarded online in general and there are obviously a lot of new people trying the game out right now.

People have always had an aversion to back spawning as well. Oh, no cap points, my sq member looks good to spawn on despite his mini feed showing carnage.

Spawn in, disoriented. Die.

Me and my brothers are enjoying BF6 beta on Ps5 so much. It has good visuals and stable frame rate. Since it is beta there is still some, but very rare occassions of glitch that when you hit someone, they dont get killed or damage even with a direct hit with multiple shots. By the way it is just me but the voice shouting for a medic is very irritating. She sounds like Frau Farbissina from Austin Powers movie 🤣

The settings menu in this game is probably the single worst design I've ever seen in a game. Even just inputting a toggle command via a controller feels completely whack, so I ended up switching to mouse just to set myself up.

It's frankly amazing to me that I only ended up having to mess with a couple of sliders to make the game feel good, with this settings menu. Every other BF game, I've had no choice but to tweak about ten different sliders before finding some kind of controller sweet spot.

Battlefield is back! Loved the beta so far. I did all the challenges, they were rather simple and fast. I ended up preordering too. To finish it off I tried the game using my Meta 3 as my screen and omg.

I dont understand how people can say the movement and aiming is sluggish or weird. Im playing on pc at 130+ fps with controller tweaks and everything feels snappy af

Yeah they've done a really good job on the movement. It's got the right sense of weight.

Are you saying they are or they're not?

I'm saying from my experience this game (and most bf games), seem more consistent when you have a less than perfect ping (imo imo imo)

With my default (good) connection (15-20 ping) I get insta killed, half my bullets don't register.

Make my ping average (50-90), gun fights seem far more consistent, far less insta deaths

Make my ping bad (150-200+), now you get lag, granted predictable lag, but you can feel it in gun fights, you'll be shooting and you gun stops firing and you die, obviously where the damage catches up

So in summary I have a far more consistent, enjoyable, fair experience when my ping is around 50-90ms.

Is this scientific....no, but it's what works for me, and BF has always had the worse lag compensation. BF1 at launch run great, then dice patch In lag compensation, to give everyone a fair experience and it played like shit after that, to allow people with horrific Internet to have fiat experience

One of my friends is trying to play now and he found out his EA account was hacked. Someone changed his PSN linked account to someone in Romania. Is there a quick way to unlink a PSN account?

Whatever works for you, but I would hate this. Lower ping the better.

There are things that, in my opinion, should be improved:

- There's no weight to anything that breaks. It explodes and that's it. BC2 was much better done in this regard.

- They should balance (missile - helicopter - plane). Helis are made of cardboard. I remember the days in BF3 and BFIV where a helicopter could win you the game.

- They keep insisting on designing maps where everything ends in a hallway of grenades being thrown and exploded with 64 players.
