It's annoying that they are requiring secure boot for this game to start. Secure boot makes my computer extremely unstable and it often won't start properly with it on.

I really need this game to be good. Multiplayer shooters are in such a sorry state right now. I'm begging that this game channels the glory of BF3/BF4 and Bad Company 2 like the devs are claiming.
Clean install may help here as much as that sucks

So what's your favorite set up?

Love me some SMG Recon with the respawn beacon and push the front lines

Look forward to the beacon moving to Assault
I don't really think much of the 'gadgets'

Recon kit is tier 1 just because of spotting
The shotgun is OK on the assault
RPG is kind of essential

But the rest are kinda meh. I just like playing assault or carbine recon. I did have a play with support and think LMGs need a bit of a buff, either suppression or acquisition speed.

Strong agree tbh, they're essentially superfluous and have absolutely no discernable impact on how the matches play out. Although I doubt it'll happen, the abilities need a complete rework. I'm not saying we need to go to 2042 grapplehook level special moves, but these BF6 class abilities are and feeble and unimaginative, and I don't even remember to use them or that their passives might be active.

With all that said, they don't spoil the experience either. I've played five hours now and I am sold nonetheless. Game is great and I can't wait for the full version.

Hunh? Support and engineer are both essential unless you're just playing domination…

I'm talking about the tiered ability upgrades which display to the right side. They feel pointless. It's just buffs, but they're boring and practically invisible in gameplay terms.

Getting this engineer challenge done has been a real pain, especially when you got like 5 other engineers trying to go for the same thing, lol.
Always have so many people on the tanks trying to fix them for measly points lol.

Combat Medic with DMR.

Recon - m4 silenced, anything to stay off the mini map

I can't wait for them to make this class a more stealth class, already using the TUGS and spawn beacon, you can constantly flank, attack from the side, reposition. Just be a massive annoyance to get squads to hunt you and off the objective.

im constantly switching depending on the situation. if i see a tank on breakthrough i immediately switch to engineer till its gone.
My overall favorite is probably Assault with assault rifle, nade launcher, and DMR. since i dont give off the big stupid glint for the world to see, i can flank around and take out snipers. i got a 205M kill last night with the DMR. very satisfying.

Recon, m4 and smokes. Broken for cq. Only class that PTFOs 150% because of the spawn beacon, the motion sensor, auto-spot and uav. Basically a win button on any flag if you don't run around headless. c4 if you want to kill tanks that don't use 3rd person when out of combat lol.

Great set up I was using the M4 at first but now I've switched to engineer and those smg 's slap! That thing that fires off when a tank is close isnt doing it for me I want the bloody land mines back !
Wish more people would use smoke grenades on Breakthrough it seems I'm the only one using em in the time I play

Overall. Loved what I played.

Shocked how much I used the support class and the LMG. Got mine tuned pretty well.

Im mixed on the maps.

Overall, I think they are OK. They dont have the iconic feel of older BF maps. I would expect you put your strongest maps in rotation for this beta. Playing Domination on a few, i get flashbacks of Close Quarters from BF3 which is good but those maps were better.

Its not like BC2 with port valdez where I played the shit out of that map for the beta and couldn't get enough.

Honestly, they can port BF3/4 maps and id be happy.

Haven't played a competitive shooter since Modern warfare 2 (ps3)
Really enjoyed the beta.
Is it worth buying if you play alone?

Cheating has bypassed anti cheat already sigh.

We need a cross play with consoles only option or this games going to turn into a shitshow like COD.

If people are cheating for lulz then whatever, but those people who cheat for adulation and pretence of skill are really sad individuals man

Been through a bit of a journey with this beta. Couldn't decide whether I liked it at first whilst getting to grips with everything.

On console only now everyone is up to speed and working their classes the game is god tier imo. Just had some insane Battlefield moments.

PC, not for me those players are melting my old ass everywhere. 😂

Hearing all this cheating shit is depressing. It's like you can't play a god damn shooter anymore wtf. These large companies need to develop some kind of AI that is integrated into the engine to clap all the cheaters cuz this isn't looking pretty.

What kind of a question is that? Most people that you will see in this game, or other games play alone. You enjoyed the beta, and you're still asking if it's worth buying?

Played around 8 hours. Game seems promising. The small maps are biggest problem so far. Gunplay, movement and hit registeration were on point for me. Will wait for the big maps to see if this is worth a buy.

I generally play by myself. I had friends join the beta and it does add ALOT of fun to the game. But 97% of the time i play solo.

I feel its totally worth it as a solo player. You'll be getting a campaign, Battle Royal mode, Portal with custom maps and modes and the standard multi-player.

I should clarify that I'm asking if the game has legs, purely for the single player.
There's bound to be some diehard fans on here who could offer up their thoughts and give me some friendly advice.

Thank you, appreciate your perspective 👍
I honestly didn't know it had a campaign lol.
I thought it might not of been a thing any more, what with some folks bypassing it entirely and going straight to multiplayer.

Kinda wild those steam numbers for an open beta and also how this is more stable than a full release was at launch 4 or 2042 in my experience.
Played some more today after finishing up Mafia. There are goods and bads to gameplay, true it has COD vibe on these smaller maps which I don't really mind due to variety actually, I do like to play lots of tdm/conquest besides going for the full conquest/breaktrough experience. And it's a big plus just how well it runs.
Overall I happy with this afterh the initial reveal hype and bet this will really go strong come launch, and all the way after within a few months with some new maps. Safe to say I'm pretty much set for the next years with this.

It's a BF game, they were never worth buying for it's singleplayer, and this will never change, even 30 years from now. If multiplayer is not something you see yourself playing for months after launch, it's most likely not worth it, especially for $80.
