Battlefield 6 Beta |OT| Open Beta/Closed Weapons.

I cant even get in the game, it keeps saying I cant use this application while using this, close this or restart your Pc, I tried downloading it from steam and Ea and it does the same!

Please give us bigger maps and hardcore mode ...the maps are way too restricting in flanking
Those were my two big complaints;
- there's no server browser. I want to be able to play 24/7 big map with helicopters/jets and open room to snipe in mountains.
- the urban maps have buildings you can't even go in and it's hard to know which you can go in and which you can't unless you've played the map enough.

Been enjoying it, a good mix and solid TTK with most weapons. Sniping is fun as well. I have been away from Battlefield entirely since BC2 so I am basically relearning everything about the game from scratch. Anyone got some tips for newbs?

Biggest one I can give that it seems that many people don't know when playing is you can revive teammates even if you aren't a medic. Way too many people are just leaving downed teammates that I have seen so far lol.

Saw an article earlier today confirming cheating in the beta... ugh why people gotta ruin everything
I honestly don't get this. Who are they, where they come from? Is it really the anti cheat systems failing with constant reports on numerous games on how many were banned every now and then? Or just random idiots who shit money and keep buying games for endless accounts just to cheat endlessly.. Anyway I don't assume every game is full of cheats so whatever, just really strange to think about.

Ok so I have played a few hours more and it's starting to click pretty good with me.

I think the fast TTK has to do with net code issues. Because some matches it felt really different and standoffs were more fair.

The destruction really fucks with bunkering down and making a little fort. Which is a bit of a shame to me. Because I love claiming spaces in the maps with friends and turning it into a fortress for duels, defending it.

But yeah, game seems to have a lot of potential.

Weekend One done.

What a great beta, sure has a few easily sorted issues but they could launch this tomorrow with a few more (bigger) maps and modes and I'd be a happy camper. Totally sold on the game.

It even gives you health regen when you do it and it's so easy to grab someone and pull them to safety, I can't believe the CoD casual audience is treating every mode like deathmatch.

I wish I wasn't 38 and had Soo many responsibilities ,
Absolutely loved the beta could only do lvl 15 with what time I had.
All the minor issues I had with the beta are fixable with minor patches ,
This is the year battlefield takes over cod. If they can just do good post launch support

Enjoyed it. Does anyone feel the shooting has been codified? Don't get me wrong it's a good game and the gunplay is good.
But shooting the m3433 or whatever it's called feels like shooting a laser.

I think this game is outstanding. Yes it needs some tweaks but overall Battfield 6 beta is great 👍

Domination mode is very CODish. Fast, constant action without much strategy and no vehicles. I had fun with it but it's miles away from conquest

It's my understanding that modern cheats using a second PC/hardware, such as:
- DMA hardware that edits stuff in memory without altering game code
- fuser hardware that overlays ESP data
- kmbox hardware that injects mouse movements for aimbot
are all largely undetectable. My understanding of them described above is all based on searches, so I may have misunderstood some.

Cheating is fun. People say they don't understand what would compel someone to cheat in a game, but I imagine those people have never downloaded game hacks. Yeah, it's unfair and sucks for everyone playing legitimately and leads to premature death of many online titles.

At the end of the day, you gotta wonder why ANY developer in this day and age would even consider making a title that didn't have an action plan and budget to tackle cheats before and AFTER launch. Stop blaming cheaters - curiosity that drives this behavior isn't going away. Blame and shame the developers and publishers for not treating it like 0day malware and squashing it immediately.

Spotted the cheater fellas.

Okay, I use trainers every now an then ever since UBI graciously introduced the so called "time saver dlcs" back in the day for the same... So I guess I get it and obviously only for my single player games, more so replaying old titles when I just "imagine" to grind for dozens of hours for some ingame money or experience.. and not to forget us old enogh we had our fun cheats too in old games so whatver.
Online though I just wonder how it works since it's always a topic to talk about, not that I'm a good player or anything, lol wouldn't even notice the difference between just a good player or a cheater...

It makes me sad we may never see this until we are very old and fiber internet is the norm. I imagine that is what holds it back, but maybe it's just the cost of servers.

Didn't they pull a fast one and do this in a recent BF title but most of the players were just bots?
I think only MAG managed to do 256, and I don't recall if anyone has tried that high of a number since then.

Gameplay is as deep as a puddle.

BF's gunplay at its best - used to be about recoil management and tap fire. You could outplay people with skilled shot placement and aim.
This is now lowest common denominator COD hold in the fire button, I see you first you die, casual junk.

Maps are hot trash. This is the biggest sin of the entire project.
Cramped beyond belief. Allowing for nothing but braindead "strategy".
The maps got super old in 2 hours. There's nothing to them - at all.
Have these devs even played a Battlefield beyond Operation Metro/Locker?

The franchise has been mediocre for over a decade which is a damn shame.
Battlefield aint what it used to be - and its aint ever going back.

Cheating is not fun ... Ffs
How is cheating fun ?

Sorry buddy boy, cant relate to that. I find the fun the be me getting better in a game as I hone my skills. Using a program to do it for me I find to be retarded.

They download these cheats to ruin other peoples games. How would you not blame a cheater for what they choose to do? What kind of moronic take is this. :S

I'm going to be charitable and say that Anthony Soprano Anthony Soprano meant "Cheating is fun for single player games" like what people used to do with Game Genie and Gameshark.

You can't stop it. A portion of the money from the game and skins should go towards anti-cheat measures. Think of it like paying taxes for public safety, airport security funded by ticket sales, HOA fees or building maintenance costs.

If a vault keeps getting robbed, do you blame the robbers or the bank? These companies sell you on an experience that fails to deliver because you can't even play some games these days without being killed by a cheater over and over. Instead of arresting cheaters, what if the CEO gets one less mega yacht and we adequately fund proper countermeasures - for starters, a support team that can properly review cheat reports?

I blame both and hope the robbers get shot and the bank closed for negligence. In this instant the cheat makers should get monetary ruin and game makers should lose customers.
Yes they should do everything they can to stop cheating, hopefully hardware bans get more easier to do.

Eh. I've played decades of video games. I know cheats have been and will always be a problem. I also know there have and always will be cunts as players whose only joy in life is to push their misery to other people. In the end its still the cunts whose choose tp use cheats.

I should clarify that I'm asking if the game has legs, purely for the single player.
There's bound to be some diehard fans on here who could offer up their thoughts and give me some friendly advice.

BF campaigns are hit or miss. I personally enjoyed BC2 and BF3 campaigns. I LOVED BF1s campaigns. Short little stories...like mini TV episodes. BF3 was their attempt at a COD style story. BF4 campaign had potential but was clearly shorten with missing plot threads.

I expect this campaign to on par with a COD campaign.

On a side note. I am very surprised by how good this game plays on the Legion Go. I am not the best with a controller anymore...but Domination runs great on the handheld.

Played my final rounds this weekend, I enjoyed the game enough to lvl till 15 but still.
If the next weekend is the same then I won't be buying day 1 unless the campaign convinces me.

I really hope Portal works out and the community engages with it and makes the server browser usable and very populated.

I had a good time with the beta, spent about 10hrs total and unlocked all the challenges. I'm sold. I won't be preordering, but will buy at release.

Not even download - they pay for them. Paying to cheat in a free beta, I can't imagine how low you have to have sunk to find that fun.

I reinstalled BF2042 just to compare, maps were definitely bigger but it was such a hassle having to travel to engage with objectives/opposing team. I guess I can see why the maps were made smaller. I definitely enjoyed my time with the beta, Breakthrough was where I spent most of my time. Not sure if I'm entirely set on getting the game at launch but looking at how long BF2042 was supported, I don't think it would be a bad investment to purchase BF6.

They was a fun time for sure. Got to level 20.

But I really dislike that mountain map. Kinda crappy to be honest. I never had any fun playing it. Just seems like a snipers delight.
With the other 2 maps, I feel like you could capture any point in the map. You were never fighting over just 1 point.
But in this one, it's just stuck on those middle 2. Just a big fucking meat grinder. Constantly getting sniped.
Especially bad on breakthrough. Maybe I constantly had a bad team, but it was so fucking hard for attackers to get that first point. The defenders always had a height advantage. It was brutal. Never got that first point.

Other 2 maps were great though. Loved those.
