Battlefield 6 Beta |OT| Open Beta/Closed Weapons.

I honestly tried going back to 2042

Nafw I Cant GIF
its like 2$ on epic store and I still wont buy it.

with that being said. BF6 is day one. I just feel I am going to lose 2$ for nothing. would rather buy cola >_>

2042 is definitely worth playing for the next 2 months while we wait. I was having a blast with its 64 player matches and things seem to be running very smoothly. Graphics even seem a touch more stable than what I remember.

Sounds like one of the devs just confirmed that they're looking into auto spotting adjustments and will let us know of any changes soon. Can't seem to find the post but I'm stoked that this is hopefully being fixed.

I hope sniper guns are more lethal in close range and face to face encounters in Bf6.
Yes it is lethal at long range as expected, but I experience allot of times when I'm face to face with the enemies at a very close range and we fire at the same time, I get killed at once by other type of guns, even if I already fired 2 or 3 shots of sniper gun at close range, face to face encounters.
Hey in real life sniper guns are very powerful especially at close range. 🤷‍♂️

? Its the best selling game almost every year. Even Vangard sold 30 million.
Oh it's still gonna be a banger sales wise, it's the Madden of shooters. I just think that gamepass provides more of an option to try it and dip without actually buying it and the response isn't overwhelmingly positive this year. It will win by default still though.

Not sure what yoyr point was then?

You said BF killed COD this year then said COD will win by default?

I never said BF killed COD this year I don't think? My only comment was you gotta wait to see what the gamepass effect will be. You're kind of inferring things that weren't ever typed.

COD7 looks like straight dogshit though, but I never play it so I'm not the intended audience.

Sorry got you confused with this dude as you replied my post.

Karl Jobst, recently subjugated vassal to the GOAT Billy Mitchell, has weighed in on everyone's favorite topic. Catgirl Riley!

I find it entertaining that the video basically boils down to 'you're too bad and too stupid to understand what you're looking at' in a more diplomatic way.

K/D went upto 3.5 for weekend 2, still rusty but started to really get into the swing of it.

I've just realised that each BF6 reward in the battle pass says 'pack of 4 items'.

So it's possible they're all worth earning and have throwback cosmetics for each game. I'll definitely get the Bad Company 2 and BF3 tiers done in case there's anything cool in there.

It's honestly not a bad game. People bitched and moaned for so long (some of that was for good reason), but it's in a great spot now. And for $2.99 or w/e the Steam price is, it's a hell of a deal while you wait for the next game.
If nothing else, you will appreciate BF6 a lot more when it launches in october after playing 2042 lol

I don't think so. I hope they leave it out. It was awful in 3.
It kind of needs to be there with the amount of people using sniper rifles. Without it there doesn't seem to be a viable way of moving forward unless you use smoke grenades, which aren't all that helpful at such long ranges. With BF3 - 2042 at least you're able to lay down fire whilst others press forward and put their aim off.

I'm curious if any Battlefield fans could answer this question...

Battlefield traditionally seems to have big opening numbers, but trails off pretty quick. Obviously this is still a successful franchise so that pattern doesn't need to be "fixed".

So I'm assuming many people here play it for a few weeks or months before hitting the wall and moving on.

Is there something Battlefield could do to make hours 100 - 500 more fun / interesting for you? Have there been any Battlefield games in the past that you felt had long legs?

100%. You can tell those different studios were struggling with 2042, but it was also during covid and I can't imagine all of these studios working remote and trying to make a game was easy. Definitely has me excited for BF6 after playing the recent beta for sure

BF games are lasts for a long time. People still play 3, 4, BF1, BFV and now 2042. BF was always a more casual game and we dont need batlepasses or challenges to keep playing these games. We play these games because they are unique and there is nothing else out there that can offer all out warfare at this level of quality and the Battlefield moments are called that for a reason. I personally play every BF game for years and even going back to them years later, because its fun.

Alot of people will move on weeks and months later, its just how gaming works nowadays, but there will always be a healthy playerbase in BF games

I still play BF4. I would still play BC2 if the modded servers were more populated. For me what it needs more than anything is for ways to be impactful beyond killing people with a gun.

Hoping they do another Beta or I get into some more labs action (has anyone on PS5 ever actually done more than one? Lol) to see what the movement and class changes are like. Plus big maps.

Playing 2042 again as support is ass. I really miss drag and revive so much. Shame it took them from BFV when they first said about it to now to implement it. But now I cant live without it. Hopefully they get rid of the shitty sweet spot mehcnaic for snipers from BF1. Fucking hate sweet spot.

The only reason numbers fall off dramatically is that EA keeps trying to fuck with the formula.

I would play a remastered 3 and 4 for years. Anything after that is just EA chasing trends.

Even 6 the jury will be out for me, though I did enjoy the Beta

Is that really logical though?

If EA had the formula for "great legs" in a Battlefield title, they'd obviously lean into that because they like making money. I don't see any Battlefield title that's good at retaining or growing it's player base.

I play medic and I miss the BF6 defibs. You can do this manoeuvre where you slide over the downed player and revive them. In 2042 you have to stand there like a lemon for a couple of seconds giving snipers and easy shot.
