Battlefield 6 CCU is massive and still growing — 568K in the first 30 minutes

Open beta had 520k peak, how on earth they ended up unprepared for the launch like this? Why even do this public tests if it doesn't change anything
Totally fair criticism. But they might have just gotten blown away on expectations for day one mid day players. Or had lower preorders than you would expect for this hype. Or maybe EA was being cheap and making them wait to get in trouble before opening up the wallet for more servers.

Regardless, I'm just happy that server capacity seems to be the only major complaint right now. Figured there'd be a host of issues with capacity near the bottom or no where at all.

The hype is getting to me big time right now. I love seeing a game take off.

Ah, what the hell? I'm getting it.

Very predictable early result. Activision were basically goading EA into pushing BF this go-round.

From reducing promotion to a limp-dick product rollout, Microsoft has been creating the perfect storm for EA to come in and take marketshare.

BO6 had probably the least promotion ever in my area. Very little billboard or in-store execution.

Coming out and calling out marketing contracts and exclusive DLC was a great mistake on Spencer's part because that part brings in $$$ that Activision can use. He should be playing Nintendo and Sony against each other, not trying to be the clean guy (which he absolutely isn't).

It's not going to grow unless you put marketing into it lol.

If EA doesn't make a proper COD competitor out of Battlefield this go-round then they never will imo. It's almost like they're being invited to by MS/ABK.

Needless to say, if they manage to keep this momentum going they will be a massive issue for ABK/MS.

COD as it's being run rn requires a ton of manpower and spend, any hiccups to the money machine means a potential need to reduce both, which could put the franchise into a negative spiral that is beyond the MS Gaming team's ability to fix.

Bobby Kotick sold at the absolute tippy top.

What are you talking about ? I've been in game on steam for 2 hours now without a SINGLE issue.

Yea I dont get whats the issue. The queing has taken like minute or few and once in the game its been smooth sailing. EA app has issues but I believe steam has been solid

Plus we know COD lost $300 Million last year too, so that doesn't help.
