Battlefield 6 CCU is massive and still growing — 568K in the first 30 minutes

Hasn't even launched to the rest of the planet completely and already at Top #15 all time peak player launch in Steam history.

Going to go 1M in the weekends.

I don't know if I should get this on PC or Ps5. I prefer mouse but don't know if I want another game that requires be to sit at my desk. I also saw you get more xp on ps5.

Bad reviews though. They need to increase the server capacity asap. 20-minute long queues is unacceptable.

bad reviews because of 15 min que on launch day with 700k players on steam alone. Never change people. Steam reviews are continues to be absolute dogshit

How is this the player's problem in any way? You pay for a damn game. You shouldn't have to wait 20+ minutes to play.

Awful take.

So what's causing this - people really like these kinds of games and CoD hasn't been doing it for them? This filling a shooter-shaped hole?
It's COD-like gunplay in a Halo Big Team Battle format. It's what made the franchise historically excellent and they finally went back to the roots.

LOL surely. People are so fucking dumb to understand how these massive online games work. Its not my problem. If you cant wait 20 min to play smoothly after on a massive fucking launch then avoid big online launches altogether is my advice.

Huh, yeah, it ain't your problem because you aren't selling the game. It's EA's problem and consumers have every right to be pissed. The onus is on the publisher/devs to plan properly. The players are justified bitching.

Meanwhile Microsoft's stupid ass is still making CROSS GEN COD TRASH

this is what happens when you make an actual next gen military shooter on a current gen engine with destruction

It's too early to say if BF will have a win over cod this year.

But these early numbers must be causing activision to sweat bullets.

Luipadre does this shit with every new game. You can't criticize it until he's had his fill and moved on to the next flavor of the week.

Hopefully something like this will push COD to do better, because they really need it. I mean, make some damn improvements already. To the gameplay, the engine, everything. I still can't believe my PC sounds like a jet engine when I play COD/Warzone, meanwhile BF6 is COMPLETELY silent and 100+ FPS nonstop.

I've got the base game downloading. Anyone know if there's um, tangible benefits to the phantom upgrade? No interest in skins or anything I'll unlock organically.

Also, I'm going out for a while and will play tonight. Looks like a game where fidelity makes sense on the pro. What mode are others going with on pro?
