Ejas sends me an invite, we go into a game.
I get put on a squad with 3 other idiots shouting and yelling.
Exit the squad and spawn: CRASH yet again.
It's fucking stupid to make a beta like this open to all.
I'm positive that this will do a lot of harm instead of getting the good word out. Blerg.

Seems like the momentum is all screwed up in BF3.
For some reason when you swing your scope left or right, it doesn't react the way it did on BC2. It seems to accelerate a lot more even though the motion you make is constant, which just doesn't make any sense.
Not good...
I don't understand how developers can be so fucking dumb.Evolved1 said:Yep. Tons of games do this now. It totally sucks.
It's for twitchy players... and people who come from kb&m and can't adjust to a smooth analog.
I'm doing a little better with it, but I still hate it. I automatically hate all games that are like this.
that's one thing that's nice about the 360, in BC2, if the game is full, then friends in that game don't show as joinable. i'm sure that DICE could do the same on PS3, but it's more work, since it's not a system-wide ability.No_Style said:I actually posted these on my blog for the very same reason:
Server Browser Having encountered so many Server is full messages while trying to join a fellow GAF member, the inclusion of a server browser in Battlefield 3 is more than welcome.
I've been playing the BF3 beta (PS3) and my first two issues were addressed!
It's too early to tell if texture pop-in will be a problem or not because it's just Operation Metro. And there's no Server Browser in the beta.
P.S - Who's going to create the BF3 console community thread?
Nabs said:Awesome. We should have a nice group of players later today.
If you want to test your mic you can try out the loopback feature. Settings (Click Advanced) > Audio Output. If it's really that bad, feel free to hit the mute button.
i jjust realized it now, but the aim reminds me of Red Faction II. i played that game a bunch back on Xbox.meppi said:I think I know what I dislike about the controls.

hah, i put my sensitivity TO THE MAX!!!No_Style said:It's a shame folks aren't liking it. I, on the other hand, love how they handled the shooting. I want to be able to clear out a room with a clip's worth of precision aiming and this game allows that to happen.
It is similar to Medal of Honor 2010, but there's more recoil and a slower pace.
I wouldn't dismiss BF3 until Conquest and a real Battlefield map is shown.
P.S - Default sensitivity was too sensitive for me. I dropped it down by 1 or 2 notches and that was all it took for to adjust. I did something similar for BC2.
Evolved1 said:I think I'm going to hold off on this at launch... will probably move my money over to something else.
I really don't like it at all. And I don't mean the glitchy beta stuff... but the feel of it. It feels terrible. Like a completely different game.
If they don't give us some options to adjust the sticks beyond just sensitivity, than I might skip BF3 altogether.
As it stands right now I can't play this. It's not fun. Terrible map and terrible analog settings.
Pass.
Evolved1 said:And what the hell... I thought we were getting server browsers? This is still blind-ass matchmaking as far as I can tell.
Evolved1 said:Sensitivity isn't the problem, it's the acceleration.

Noisepurge said:Proning is really something that takes awhile to get accustomed to, it's not necessarily a bad thing. But it makes for some really small targets in staircases and bushes :/
Atleast snipers now have that spotlight on them always
Lol that's awesome.JJD said:Prone is a little fucked up! Lol!
I killed two guys defending that mcomm behind a counter in the second base inside the metro. I went prone in the middle of the bodies, and I'm not joking I must have killed 6 or 7 other players trying to disarm it. No one could see me among the bodies, and as soon as some of then disappeared I would drop other guy and crawl next to him. One of the dudes who I previously shot, tried to knife me in the back but got the wrong guy, and knifed a body, just to be shot to death by my firearm! It was amazing!
JJD said:Prone is a little fucked up! Lol!
No_Style said:Not in the beta.
Also this thread has turned into the official BF3 console community thread. BOOM.
JJD said:Hey catpee! Nice games against almost 2 full squads of gaffers!
Anyone else is having mic problems? I can hear everything fine, including my voice, but I don't hear a single word from my squadmates, and they can't hear me... :-(

I'm used to the faster pace now. It was a bit jarring at first, but now I find it more fun than the old Rush games of BC2. Recoil is also implemented better where there's not a lot at close range, but a hell of a lot of kick at mid/long range. The sprint and prone through the ground bugs are annoying though. Squad/Friends options are completely missing in-game, which is fucking odd. Hopefully this is some ancient build and the bugs and screen tearing get ironed out before release.
Now bring on the vehicles and JETS!

Evolved1 said:This locks up my PS3 every time I try and leave a game... really annoying.
I still can't get over the fact we have less squad options compared to BC2. I mean you cant even join friends in a game, or switch to their squad if a spot is open, or accept invites... it's absurd.
