Really hoping they keep Portal going longer though and keep it around for future games with continuous updates.

Wish the first season was a little longer haven't finished the battle pass. Game is really improving, I really hope they can get it to a good place. The 2042 setting is the best IMO for battlefield, not interested in more WW2 and WW1 was a joke; really stupid time to set a game about vehicles and weapons.

Is it available to play I haven't played the season 2 map. Exposure from season 1 is amazing. What was wrong with the new map when you played it?

Hell no, i'm never coming back to that. I'm just thankful that i dodged a bullet thanks to Gamepass.
I'm done with this franchise, for me BF4 was the last good BF.

Real talk though, I hope it keeps improving, I love the Battlefield series and it hurt me how this released, I couldnt even pretend it was good. I played it a couple of weeks back and its deffinatly better and if they keep on going it can be a good game and learn from it for the next BF.

Hmmm I think I'll drop the money down for this! Started playing again with season 1 and god damn this game slaps. Season 2 looks to build on that.
Have hit level 48 in the current battle pass progression, but haven't thrown the coin down for it. Doubt I can make it to 100 before the season ends, and no way I want to pay for skins I won't get the chance to unlock.

On another note - As I said in another thread, I've been having a great time with this recently despite loathing it at release. Feels like normal Battlefield to me at this point and I'm absolutely loving the Exodus playlist. BC2 maps are awesome fun.

I can't be the only one who sees the insanity of doing a cargo container map when a constant complaint amongst the community is the over use of them in nearly every map.

If they did, that's news to me. I spent around 10 minutes jumping in every available mode - Conquest, Exodus Conquest, Breakthrough, etc. and each time I was met with 1/128, 1/64, 1/64. Occasionally another person would sit there alongside me waiting but would eventually drop.
I'm genuinely interested in jumping back in, but not sure if it's possible at the moment. Maybe a player spike with season 2 will alleviate this, and if so, great. If not, it's back to Hunt:Showdown (a great game more people should try).

Wtf are you going on about?…I've been on the past two days with legitimately no issue finding a game. No waiting on players in any mode. Do you have cross play on? As someone who has written off the game three times since launch, they have done pretty well bringing it back, but your gripe about finding matches is just BS. I feel like you are just bashing the shit and not even on at this point. Just find something else to do, it's tired.

I paid full price for this crap and all I can say is: I hate this game. The moment to moment gameplay is horrible and atrocious. Every minute I play this game it feels like I'm wasting my life. I'd much rather stare at a blank wall then playing this shit. Dice is dead to me.

Yikes, take it easy. I was a Day 1 player for every BF since 4 and I like 2042. I don't have crossplay on, that's a fact. Also a fact is that I haven't been able to get into a match and my settings are no different than they were at launch. I'm not throwing shade at DICE or EA or 2042 or you or whatever, Im just stating what it's been like for me lately. I feel like you are really sensitive and need to get a grip.
Btw, I hope the game turns around, as I stated earlier - I'm genuinely interested in playing it again. If there are settings you'd recommend a PS5 user, I'm all ears.

You think Battlefield 1 is a high point in the series ? I would argue it's probably the worst game in the series outside 2042. Personally I would rank, 4, 3, 2 as well as Bad company 1 and 2 , 2142 and even 5 with its current patches above it.

2 was great for it's time and is still playable, but it's old now. 2142 has aged terribly. There's potential there (as was hoped by some 2042 would be).
5 looked great, but launch issues, plus the building nonsense and the horrible attitude of the developers made sure it did badly. I didn't even buy it.
3 is great. No qualms there. The story is good too. 4 is pretty much a rehashed 3 with a worse story (a shame, as it had potential). I got bored of the multiplayer pretty quickly, mostly because it was often just stalemate in two corridors on the same maps.
1 is different and refreshing. The short stories are all well written, if fanciful in places. The best stories expect for Bad Company. I'm sorry you didn't like it, but clearly plenty of people did. I'm glad we got an accessible, not too serious, WWI game. The best part was the lack of corridors.
Bad Company is just plain fun.

I mean, I do get it. I paid $100 for the pre order, I was mad, and had gripes where ever I could, especially not being able to find a game. If you are serious about settings, turn on cross play and you will legitimately get into a game whenever you want to. I've been playing for the last two days and have had 0 issues finding a match immediately. To add, I am also playing on ps5.
It def still needs work, but it now at least plays and feels like Battlefield.
Edit - Trust me, it's not about being sensitive…it's about hearing the same BS on multiple threads a week about BF. It's tired, like I said, if you don't like it, I do definitely understand….but for the love of God, kids are starving, war is happening, and inflation is terrible….there are other things in the world worth complaining about every fucking week (not directed specifically at you).

This game was a major letdown. BF1 was peak BF for me and despite BFV having some clear misses, BF2042 is a complete shit show and it's not fun in the slightest. You can't even use a machinegun to suppress enemies in BF2042. They have rendered an entire class useless.

Hopefully BF2042 will get years of support and improvements but I doubt it.

I wonder why this game is still 60 euro buckaroos? Isn't that completely self sabotaging? I mean obviously I don't run a multi-million rupee company but wouldn't it be better to slash the MSRP in half and then have discounts on top of that so you can actually populate your servers? Instead of trying to get the occasional 60 dollars (in this day and age even lol!) which, lets be honest, will probably be refunded as well if the person has any sense.
