They were out of Demon's Souls where I lived. I'll have to check in tomorrow to see if they got any more.

Only one Best Buy (out of 6) in my area had the game. They only had two copies. I talked with one of the associates and he said that they are getting in two copies PER WEEK and that they are gone that day. Ask what day they get in their few copies at your Best Buy and plan on getting there in the morning.

I am still pretty surprised that Demon's Souls is selling this well considering the type of game that it is.

So, anyway, as you may know, Old R&C and Uncharted 1 are both GH now, so $30 each. The new R&C obviously, is $60, so I was looking at 3 for $90 which was fine...except that it wasn't!

Dude rang up, in order, R&C:F 1, New R&C:F, Uncharted, hit the button to make one free and, voila, I paid $63 for the 3 games because the register automatically gave me the $59.99 game free!!!! Paid quickly, ran away....

Yeah, I noticed that too, there is some sort of bug in the system. I wanted Uncharted 1, Wii Fit Plus, and the Older Ratchet, but no store had both Ratchet and Uncharted 1, so I picked up two copies of Ratchet, and Wii Fit Plus, and I got one of the Ratchet's for free, saving me $10 extra

Ugh, last night was such a hassle with getting my B2G1.

I pre-ordered R&CF:aCiT, Forza 3, and Tekken 6 from BestBuy.com for pickup from my local store, which just opened in my county. "Woohoo!" I thought, "I'll run in after work on Tuesday, pick up my games, and head on home!"

WRONG!!!

I go into Customer Service to get my pickup, and they have nothing pulled. Takes the people behind the counter a while to figure out what's going on, so a half hour later they finally tell me they don't have Tekken 6. "No big deal," I say, because Tekken 6 was the one of the three I wanted least. "Can I get a raincheck and make sure it will be free, as I want to take advantage of the B2G1?"

Nope, they can't do anything like that. The manager happily informed me they have plenty of the LE of Tekken 6, and I could buy that instead. Sure, like I'd MUCH rather pay $150 than FREE! I check availibility of Tekken 6 on my iPhone while I figure out what to do, and EVERY OTHER STORE in my surrounding area has plenty of copies. I'm kinda pissed at this point, because the next closest store is an hour round trip away.

Finally, after about an hour of waiting around for them to tell me all this, I say fuck it and find out how I cancel my order. I have to call their 1-888 number to do that cancelled, I can't do anything in store. WTF! So, I call, wait 15 minutes on hold, get a guy, he puts me on hold for 5 more minutes, then I get disconnected. FUUUUUUUUUCK!!! I call back, irritated as hell, and finally get a person who can help me. She cancels my order and I get an email saying it was cancelled. Finally, someone who did something correct.

So, then I get in my car, drive to the other closest Best Buy, get my games from a really helpful employee, post a profanity laden video to Twitter, and then FINALLY get home 2.5 hours after I left work.

Shit like this is why I love Amazon with Prime so fucking much.

TL,DR: My local Best Buy blows goats and they should have a plan to deal with shortages when they have a promo

Does anyone know if this is valid? If I bought Lips + DLC alone, I would just have to pay $59+tax. It should be allowed to work as part of this week's B2G1 sale since I wouldn't have bought Lips at BB otherwise. Going to pick up Demon's Souls and Madden 10 later today... can't decide on my third. Right now I'm thinking either Ratchet or Forza3. Downside for getting ratchet is that I never beat the first one. Downside for Forza is that I don't really turn on my 360 much. I only really play PGR4 on it.

Only other possibilities are NGS2 or maaaybe ODST. Not sure what I should do...

I was in a hurry to leave and it was taking them too long to sort through the issue. I preferred to buy the game at a local retailer but was enticed by the free DLC offer. If I can't combine promotions, then I'd have to pick a different game, and I just didn't have time for that today. Will try again tomorrow with a new pick.

Their backordered policy is to automatically cancel after 30 days, but they have already shipped out my other 2 games.

Yes I know it's only $8 difference, but for anyone in a major city like me who is charged a ton in sales tax it almost never makes sense to buy at a store what can be had through amazon at no tax and usually lower price.

Of course, the thing is I'll likely get a new game and maybe the new GTA dlc double pack to bring it to around $81 or so and then use the $40 on any future game purchase. So that would mean I pay $81 today and then have $40 to put toward any new release in the next two months leaving only $13-15 that I need to pay then for that third game. $95 for three games, two of which are full price, is pretty damn good.

This of course hinges on the new GTA being eligible for the promotion as it releases tomorrow.

Work for me at my local Best Buy last night, I got Lips #1, Uncharted2 and Magna Carta2, Lips #1 rang up fine along with the DLC pack as free.

Cool, I hope it works. I abhor fighting with employees in customer service. The last time I visited customer service I got chewed out and denied a replacement Xbox 360 for a red ringed one even though I bought a 3 year replacement plan. Went straight to another BB and had a much better experience.

Blunder part by me...

I kept thinking wait no way I'll get Demon's Souls Deluxe edtion somewhere else i dont' want the normal edition....So I talked myself out of it.

I talked myself out of Uncharted 2 cuz I saw a few already being resold elsewhere ok so I wont' pay full price and pick it up elsewhere...now i'm being cost concious and trying not to spend more money.

So I got Ratchet and Clank:AciT, first foray into this series mostly excited.

Little big planet: GotY edition...for the family, so meh

Fallout 3:GotY edition...figuring well it has all the DLC but it dosent' excite me as much as the two I passed on
