every christmas i get my little cousin a code for PS store and it goes on Fortnite Vbucks. this year he is getting £100. (or ~18,500 vbucks i think)

i don't even care. if that's what he wants then cool. 🤷‍♂️
Just tell him Vbucks funds anti Santa terrorism. Anything!

Don't let him spend that much on nonsense! :messenger_tears_of_joy:

i remember getting Pokemon Stadium for N64 one Christmas. i was so fucking hyped for it not just because i thought it looked so cool but you could play your game boy games on the TV which blew my mind. i begged and begged for it. i went searching through the entire house and found my presents. i knew exactly what shape and size the box was and i found it. i played the ever loving shit out of that game.

again, i don't care. if i got £100 as a kid i'd have bought as many pokemon cards/stickers as i could (i'd probably still buy pokemon cards with it today lol)

Dreamcast for Christmas 1999

Worst one was Zelda: Ocarina of Time for Christmas 1998.
Because I opened the box and found that some asshole Best Buy employee stole the cartridge and replaced it with a big pack of Juicy Fruit gum and shrink wrapped the box. The silver lining was that I got extremely lucky that they had another copy in stock on 12/26. The game was really hard to find at that time.

There were many great Christmas gaming gifts, but nothing surpassed 2001 when I was given my Gamecube. A couple years prior I was given an N64, but the Gamecube was the first console I actually anticipated leading up to its launch. It was something magical.

I have three Christmas gifts that I will always remember.

1. Grand Theft Auto San Andreas in 2004. The game is obviously amazing but I remember it because it came out in October and my grandma got it for me and let me have it early without my mom knowing because she knew I was so excited about it. So I got to play it for a couple weeks and then gave it back to my grandma so she could wrap it and I could get it on Christmas.
2. My first PS3. We didn't have a lot of money growing up and we all know how expensive that thing was at launch. The PS3 alone would have been more money then all of my gifts combined generally. My mom ending up working two jobs for a couple months and was able to get it for me with a game for Christmas. I just remember crying and telling her to return it because I knew how much it was and I was a teenager so I was well aware of money issues.
3. Original Xbox. A casino opened up a couple hours from our house and my mom/stepdad managed to win a bunch of money one year. While most of it went to stuff like bills and fixing the house they bought me and my step brother a Xbox with a couple extra games on top of our regular gifts. I can't remember exactly but I remember having Halo, Project Gotham Racing, and Jet Set Radio Future.

Overall, the PS3 is my most memorable overall though.

Mario Kart 64 and a third controller so I could play together with my brother and cousins. Was a blast. I never stopped playing, but they all moved on...

DuckTales NES 1989. Still remember it to this day. I was so happy that day. Played the shit out of it for years to come. Shit I still play it like it's 1989.

The original PS1. Such good memories and it's the console with all my favourite games; FF7, Resi 1-3, MGS, Alundra, Vagrant Story, SotN, etc.

I received Nintendo 64 with Super Mario 64 in 1998. Although I began playing videogames on NES and then SNES, and those gave me dear memories, it was N64 and PS1 that made me the games I am today. That's why this is always the most important Christmas gift for me.

I had so many good Birthdays and Christmas Days, I was lucky to have parents and family by extension who were early adopters of understanding and enjoying video games themselves.

The Nintendo 64 I bought myself with Super Mario 64 for christmas 1996. I've tried putting into words how special that combo was many times but I really can't do it justice. Just pure gaming heaven.

But if we're talking about something specifically gifted by someome else, then-

This would be it. '89 was also my all-time favourite christmas for numerous reasons, despite me being sick as a dog with flu.

The only game-related Christmas present I ever received was from a very old aunt who gave me Medal of Honor for PS1.
What a great game
