Ok so I'm probably way behind the times here by still using Photobucket but I'm old so forgive me.

I just got an email from Photobucket saying they have disabled 3rd party hosting unless I upgrade. Fuck that.

So which is the best site to use? I want something easy to navigate, upload and share pics, for free, which has large storage.

I use Abload myself. The site is in German but easy enough to navigate. There are no storage or bandwidth limits, however there is a per-image size limit of 10MB.

Abload.de is the best. Imgur is pretty annoying when on mobile. If you want to open the image in a new tab, you are automatically redirected to some Imgur site on which the image is embedded and on which you cannot zoom in.

Yep this makes Imgur unusable for me and I hate when others use it.

That annoys me too because everyone here uses it. You try to read text on an image so you click it to zoom and you get a poor quality version of the same pic that doesn't seem to zoom right because it's not the actual picture but imgur's forum/Tumblr like page. Also uploading on mobile is neigh impossible now without having to download their app. Both changes were made not too long ago and I promptly stopped using them.

Yeah, that leads to me being redirected to their website where that image is embedded then.

I just checked and you have to do it from the Imgur site. If you try it from where it's embedded on gaf it'll take you to where it's embedded on imgur and you have to do it again.

Oh yeah, that's what I actually meant. You have to do it from the imgur site. A bit weird but it doesn't really bother me. Still my favorite imager hoster.

If you're not on mobile then imgur is a great option. Particularly with the chrome extension (probably in other browsers too) to right click and re-upload an image to imgur.
