Best graphics of any game?

Uncharted 2/3 at 1440p 60fps on a PS3 emulator would be the best looking games you can find today.

Up More screenshots from nd blog artist - 1080p, [Clean IQ for those who want to see how uncharted 3 will look on a powerful system :P]

While it isn't out yet, God of War Ascension looks like it could be a contender.

yea this new god of war game looks great. GoW3 looked great on PS3, I don't what type of motion blur they used, but it was one of the best, high quality motion blurs I have ever seen. Also the lighting was great!

yea it upset me as well. Man Uncharted on PS4 will be AMAZING! Just looking at that Star Wars 1313 video gives me the chills.

The gif needs to be posted again:

I'm not impressed by this only because it seems like a corridor shooter thats going to be extremely scripted.

Obviously I'll buy it though just because it seems like the first good Star Wars game in a long time

That's not how Crysis really looks. And personally, I think Crysis 2 with hd textures and dx11 pack takes the cake. Nothing else looks better.

Yes it is how it looks. People massively overrate the DX11 patch when it reality it does very little. It's largest changes are the Screen space reflections and Tessellation. It does nothing to help the lighting or low polycount of the assets. Even the HD texture upgrade
is terrible compared to the work Maldo has done.

That's a custom map, though. No stage in the game itself looks like that.

Just started playing Kirby's Epic Yarn yesterday. Probably the most visually appealing game I've played this gen.

My vote either goes to that, Wind Waker or Okami.

Too bad crysis 1 doesn't actually look like that screenshot. Was already pointed out in the very topic.

It's heavily modded, and it does look like that. Which was already pointed out in this very topic.

It's the GDC Reloaded map, which is in fact a custom multiplayer map from what I remember.

The fact is that visuals can be achieved with the original game that the sequel cannot match.

Even modded Crysis 2 maps have not come anywhere close if that's what you're arguing. The quality of assets and lighting is simply much worse in the sequel. No amount of DX11 effects can hide that.
The only thing that I was really impressed by is the detail on weapons and the animations for reloading.

Crysis 2 has bad art.

I agree, unfortunately the same can be said for many shooters, IMO Killzone 3's artstyle is bland and uninspired. The game is good though.

If its image quality could be cleaned up, and some of the godawful aliasing remedied, you'd be cooking with gas. It's hard to look at on my 1080p set as-is, though.
You're right, Killzone 3 is plagued by the aliasing.

But you know if you are sitting 6f away from the screen it magically disappears.

totally agreed. PC games on the other hand need good AA because you are sitting so close to the monitor. BF3 looked like total ass on my 5850, the jaggies killed the visuals.

You should definitely play the SP. I replayed it recently and I had a blast.

I will get to it soon! ;)

I was being ironic with the "magically". ;)

I'm intractable regarding IQ, even on my Bravia the Killzone 3's jaggies and crappy textures were obvious, still it does not ruin the experience at all.

Having just finished Uncharted 3 this week, I'll say that it's easily one of the best looking games I've seen this gen. There were many times when I would just roam around the environments to take it all in. The Chateau level in France has a ravine with a waterfall and a stream that doesn't look like it should be possible on the hardware given how much better it looks than everything else out there.
