Yar, if that's enough to disqualifies it, then Demon's Souls has no business being in the OP, either. There's a new Torment game being made...
It's part of the "Planescape" D&D thingie though, so there's that.

What about GBA and Master System, are you gonna do separate lists?Okay guys, I've compiled what I believe to be a complete list of "one-and-done" games for NES, Genesis, and SNES, based on their North American libraries
Had a sequel and was rereleased on the VC. Doesn't seem to meet the criteria from the OP.NES - Star Tropics.
This award goes to Ghost Trick.
A brilliant, charming, sweet and hilarious tale with some truly immersive gameplay.

Metal Fatigue was pretty great.
Can't believe Catherine hasn't been mentioned! One of the best games of last generation, the ambience, story-telling in addition to the intricate puzzle gameplay made it such a joy to play.
Catherine (PS3/360)
Journey (so far)
If this counts as not in the D&D group of games, then the answer must actually be GoldenEye.
My vote goes to Odin Sphere, UNDISPUTED king of the 2D side-scrolling RPGs, and one of my favorite games of all time.

Okay guys, I've compiled what I believe to be a complete list of "one-and-done" games for NES, Genesis, and SNES, based on their North American libraries, with games listed according to the number of GameFAQs user votes they've got. May be of interest to some people, so I'll post them. I've put asterisks beside borderline games, which you may count or discount at your pleasure.
NES: 151 games out of 758
