oh you are asking too much, and entire life is hard to remember.

i can answer with the best pizza of the last 5 years? it was in amsterdam, in a REAL italian pizzeria, "lucca 2" in Haarlemmerstraat 130.

NYC pizza was disappointing.

The hottest of hot takes. May the Lord have mercy on your soul.

New Haven, CT

Specifically Frank Pepe's

My brother used to live in New Haven. Apparently it is widely considered the pizza capital of the US. Their biggest places have the highest scores on Barstools One Bite App, on average, including what you listed. I would post the video to the Onebite review of all the New Haven places but I am lazy. They all looked DELICIOUS tho

where did you go to eat the pizza

i hope not manhattan at some fancy place where you pay over $2 for a slice

these fancy places i'm talking about are hipster manhattan spots

i've tasted some of the blandest fucking shit ass pizza after paying like $30 for a pie

you want real new york pizza you come into queens

flushing, queens has some good shit that is dirt cheap, that's the good stuff

a good telltale sign of a quality pizza joint is when it's served to you by mexican dudes that look like they can't be bothered

The best pizza I’ve ever had was my grandparents pizza. Having grandparents from Italy (RIP to both) helped.

With that said, my favorite pizza from a restaurant is a place in NoVa called Faccia Luna. If you’re ever in NoVa you should give it a try. One in Arlington and one in Alexandria.

Just north of Pittsburgh there's a place called "Olives and Peppers" and they're unrivaled. I get the traditional with bacon (big thick strips) and green peppers and onions and then a white pizza with chicken, basil, fire roasted tomatoes, red pepper, and artichokes

Ya can't beat it

Papa Johns and Dominos are trash tier in my book, I'd rather have frozen pizza like Newman's own which is miles better and don't give me burps and heartburn.

My favorite pizza is from small restaurants from around my town.

triplestation speaking facts. I live in NYC, so good pizza is a stone's throw away at basically any time. I'm not exactly a pizza connoisseur though, as unless it's blatantly bad, it's still pretty good to me. That may have to do with being from NY though.

This is in my neck of the woods, but Pres is low-balling them a bit. Their Sicilian is money;

My brother just moved out to Connecticut and tried Frank Pepe's recently. He said it was the best pizza he ever had, despite growing up on Brooklyn and Queens pizza. I've gotta give it a shot when I visit him.

NY Pizza Suprema. The best tasting pizza I’ve ever had. The sauce and cheese are perfectly placed into a thin crust. Comes out of the oven piping hot. Put some red pepper flakes, oregano, and garlic powder on there. Omg, I can eat a whole pie.

It's a damn shame, because I can't remember the name of the restaurant.
It was in San Juan, Puerto Rico. I was on my to Culebra island.

The pizza was about 3 FEET across, and was a meat-lover's pizza (saus, pep, bacon, ham, extra cheese, and so forth).
Literally one slice, maaaaaaaaaaybe two, filled a person up.

And the whole thing cost about $7, because their economy has been destroyed for decades.

It was absolutely fantastic.

How many pizza shops can there be in Puerto Rico, near Culebra? It can't be that hard to find...

The kind that's smothered in "lamb" meat you acquire from a Bulgarian man claiming to be Turkish. As any self-respecting Scotsman would tell you.

a typo surely!?

Not at all. If anything, I'm underestimating.

I could have worn that thing as a jacket.

If you guys ever find yourself in Puerto Rico, near Culebra, seek out pizza shops.
There can't be that many; it's a tiny space.

I went to a pizzeria one time I think in Manhattan Beach, CA that a lot of famous stars would go to and the owner would have some of their pictures up even. Shaq and Kobe and some of the Lakers sat down there once during the early 2000s when they were manhandling the league. They had pies about the size I_D I_D is talking about, really were about 3 feet in diameter, each slice was a foot and a half lol

This doesn't surprise me at all. Everything I ate while in Puerto Rico was amazing.

The best pizza I ever had was a single slice in Israel. I can't even remember everything that was on it. Green peppers, some meat, but what I remember most is the cheese. On most pizza I find cheese to be a serviceable necessity--it's gotta be there, but it's not what I'm eating the pizza for.
Except there. In that mall in Israel. The cheese was amazing.
What are they doing to their dairy? Fewer preservatives, additives, other ives? I don't know. But I want that pizza. I need to return to Israel.

I also had some kickass Turkish cheese there. The food was the best part of that country.

The best pizza I have had are from family get togethers in Italy. A few of them have their own pizza oven in the back. Knock up a simple base, a few toppings here and there, in and out within a few minutes.

Add a bit of local red wine that clings to the glass, and you're sorted.

I don't often come across actually good pizza. Most pizzas are comparatively good unless they're drenched in grease or burnt. I don't get the hate for Papa Johns at all, and Papa Murphy's is the best pizza I've found in north Alabama so far.

What is up with this ultra thin crust craze? So many fancy pizza parlors like to do the thinnest of crusts with thick toppings and a covering of cheese. It's not bad, but it's not good either.

The best pizzas I've had. David's Pizza in Spokane was/is pretty special. A good balance of crust, cheese, sauce, and toppings. Another place in the same town that was a master of the deep dish is Rocky Rococo's.

Unfortunately, my favorite pizzas from a pizza chain was the ol' Godfather's Pizza. No one does it as good as they did. Unfortunately, the one I grew up near burned down, never to return. :(

Detroit has the best pizza in the country, and Pie Sci has the best in the city.

Well, back in early 90s - I visited NYC from Midwest. Only type of pizza that I knew was either Dominos, LIttle Ceasars, Pizza Hut, and Godfathers. (no papa johns)... and slew of frozen pizzas.

I visited my cousin in Union Square, and she ordered a pizza from Patsy's. It was just mindblowing experience. I think it's just regular pizza with basil, and maybe some onions - but the pizza was so good, it was one of those eye-opening foodie moment.

Well, now I live near NYC and eat Patsy's pizza off and on.. also from other famous joints ... it's okay. I've gotten used to the taste and NYC formula. My recent good one was from this place called Keste in downtown - Neapolitan style of simple pizza - that I really enjoyed it. Simple and delicious... So someday I would love to just visit Italy and have the real thing there.
