Well I guess that's that. I wonder if it'll be a remake or a remaster.

from what I've read, that shit is 100% a remake

They can word it how ever they like, but what they are talking about is what we know of as a remake

I wonder if they will tweak the leveling system. Currently you have to do some pretty counter intuitive, confusing stuff to min/max.

I'll definitely need to rewatch a video explaining that shit if they don't adjust it

Looking at the calendar, I'm not sure there's anything that's going to land at this level. Potential Game of the Year incoming.

I am gonna be so disappointed if it doesn't drop by this weekend. I desperately want to play this. I've wanted to go back to Elder Scrolls IV already but heard about this remake.

I'd have guessed "reveal now, but June release" except that every big leaker has said they've all heard it's releasing April. If it's releasing April, and we're like a week and a half from May, it pretty much has to be a shadow drop (or, whatever it's called when you tease something 24 hours in advance). I mean, "releasing next Tuesday" doesn't have quite the same sound to it as "now available".

Can't wait. Oblivion was such a beautifully janky mess, and aged appreciably like RE1 and SoTN's voice acting. I'm both stoked and a little sad knowing full well that they are going to "fix" a lot of what was "broken" in the original. Also super curious how radiant AI, being able to drop items all over the world, magic crafting, etc, are all going to work. These are major parts of what makes Oblivion, Oblivion.

M1PSt,

Athletics, Acrobatics, Blunt and Block were removed
Blunt confuses me, I guess they'll probably group it with another attack type. The rest make sense if they've actually updated the physics and interactions to remove some of the RNG and to make it so that you don't have a baby's calf muscles when the game starts. I guess I'm alright with that.

This, so much this

If they try fix all the jank and redo the legendary voice work then I'm out. Oblivion is what it is because of the jank, if you remove the jank you remove it's soul

This not being a shadow drop would be a huge disappointment.

The data files are all loaded onto Steam per the DB type guys, just needs to be made public.

So far all signs point to it being announced and released tomorrow.

Anything else would be a surprise to me.

I don't even like Oblivion, but I am still excited to try this. Caught in the hype I guess. If they fixed the level scaling, then it might be good. Although that is a big IF.
