EDIT:
I'm not sure why pushsquare only references the PS5 version. The original tweet shows both versions. Will have mods update title

EDIT2: Removing the pushsquare article and just posting the tweet.

Pushsquare primarily focuses on PS news. Although it is weird that they left Xbox out of this.

So tired of publishers not having physical releases available when the game comes out. They should delay the game until physical copies are ready.
BUT
They know gamers who want the game will buy digital day one and will double dip later when they announce (months later) that a physical is coming out. More $$$$ That is why they likely do this.
LRG is the biggest offender in this.

Push □ ( the name of the site kinda explains why it only shows PlayStation lol)

I could buy this for PC if I got a cool physical map. Like a leather map. And a big manual with cool art and all.

That's how they get me to pay for games instead of just using Gamepass.
If it's just a disc then meh.

If it's "on disc" with a mandatory download they can keep it.

Place it all on disc with the latest patches please and thank you.

If it's a game key disc, they can keep it along with Indiana and Doom. Bluray discs are cheap as fuck, there's no excuse for that.

Fix the bugs/performance, or release a physical version. Choices, choices, I don't envy being Bethesda.

That's neat but that's not gonna best the og 360 release with the map and booklet.

Empty cases are much less interesting unfortunately especially without all content on disc.

Glad i held off. Not falling for this shit ever again after the Tomb Raider remaster.

Respect, you felt this one bruv lol

I got the remaster on PS5 as digital, but will still buy a physical copy for the culture and collection.

Microsofts PS5 releases have been dog shit so far. Can't believe they are not putting everything on disc when they clearly have the means to. Fucking MS, such a trash company.

They need to get their shit together first and stop selling activation keys. It's like they're spitting in the face of people buying physical games but still want their money.

Begrudgingly so I'm sure. If it's not full on disc, there is no point to this release. Especially if they don't have the most recent update included, I heard the initial release was nearly unplayable.

The point is to include retailers selling the game, not to fulfill some wet dream by "Collectors" who think the game will be worth big bucks 20 years from now.

The game is massive, it's like 120 GB. If Indiana Jones at 80 some odd gigabytes isn't on disc, this won't be either. Won't be worth buying.
Good point. They probably won't bother shipping the game on multiple discs, so it's going to be the same deal as with Indiana Jones and Doom TDA. Meh. I was a bit excited when I first read the OP.

I'll still grab the physical copy, but it went from a pre-order to waiting for it to hit a clearance sale at one of my go to retailers for physical games.

One of my biggest purchasing regrets this year. It's just a fucking mess with constant crashing for me on PC. It's held together with dog shit and rubber bands.

There is more benefit to a physical key than the data being on the disc. Being account agnostic still makes it far better than digital. This allows it to be resold, easily loaned, or if your account is banned to be reused on a fresh account without lien or levy.

You are 100% correct and I agree with you. These days I tend to forget that not all games require you to be online, yes in the future if the servers are down, you're never playing that physical copy again, but you're not playing that digital copy either unless if it's already on your console and not locked for some reason. It's just that these days so many games require an online connection to even boot the game up when it's completely single player.
