ANOTHER FPS? sigh...
ANOTHER "ANOTHER FPS? sigh..." POST? sigh...
ANOTHER FPS? sigh...
element's not one of the six people, is he?
Looks cool. I'm a little concerned the art might be a bit eye-strain-y over time, but I dig the overall vibe.
Some GIFs:
Skyrim in black & white ... With red ?
It needs more grey IMO. I get what they are going for, but the implementation is really hard on the eyes when watching the trailer. It feels like a filter slapped on top of a game that was already being rendered in full color. Objects tend to disappear into the environment, and seems to make distinguishing objects rather difficult. As it is I couldn't imagine playing the game.needs more color imo, sorry.
My first impression too. The gunplay didn't look brilliant to me, didn't sound like it either - but people say F.E.A.R. had great mechanics and the game sounds interesting so I'm curious.
Some guys from Monolith (which made some of my favorite FPS, the ones mentioned in the thread title) developing a new FPS? Why haven't I sent my money to them yet?
The art style reminds me in a way of the Wii game MadWorld, which I wasn't a fan of. But that doesn't matter when Monolith (or at least some ex-employees) is behind it.
I loved NOLF because it was funny and lighthearted, and was hugely disappointed that the team behind it turned their backs and spent the following decade on the utterly boring and humourless FEAR series. This isn't changing my mind. It at least looks more creative than FEAR, but looks just as tiringly serious.
I'm going to say something similar in every thread about a new platformer, RPG, puzzle game, indie game with 16 bit graphics and so on. I'm sure it will go well because fans of those genres will agree, right? I mean, do we really need another platformer, RPG, puzzle game, indie game with 16 bit graphics and so on?ANOTHER FPS? sigh...
Did you play Gotham City Impostors? Last game Monolith did. Reminded me of their NOLF roots.
