Nacho you're so fucked it's not even funny
Looked like a soda canWhat was the thing that Nacho was using to open the lock? Aluminum foil?
i agree that raid was a bit iffyI have to admit that the scene with Nacho sneaking out was pretty tense.
Lalo taking those guys out was pure ridiculousness though. They knew where they last saw him in the kitchen, there's no way the guy clearing the room would walk next to the wall so that he could get hit. The guy is even looking at the corpse, not the corner lol, plus they show them being two ppl in the kitchen. Then they go full auto on the kitchenware but only fired a single shot when they had him in their sights. It's not that I have a problem with Lalo making it out, I just think you need to make those kinds of scenes at least somewhat plausible.
So, in the last season they're gonna do all of this:
Wrap up the Nacho/Lalo/Gus cartel conflict
Wrap up the Kim/Howard conflict what ends up happening with her
Show enough of Saul's story post Breaking Bad which finally got somewhere in the first clip this season. Maybe Jesse will be involved again in some way too, who knows.
Because if not then it's gonna be underwhelming. This is gonna feel rushed.
I think Lalo has made this show exponentially better. He's a great character and his unpredictable personality makes for tense scenes. He also has charisma unlike some other bad guys in this series.
We need a Lalo spinoff.I think Lalo has made this show exponentially better. He's a great character and his unpredictable personality makes for tense scenes. He also has charisma unlike some other bad guys in this series.
Gus was amazing in Breaking Bad.... terrifying and compelling in every scene, so that you'd hang on his appearances closely.
But in BCS, Gus has been oddly boring. I think it's partly a function of his character being written backwards here (we already know his dark side, but aren't getting to see that through his "kind" facade the way we did gradually in BB).
In any case, on BCS, Lalo is the new Gus. Consistently interesting and entertaining to watch. So glad we'll have more of him... one hell of a villain rising in that final shot.
What is everyone's best guess about her fate: dead, or in hiding?
I feel fairly confident that she'll be dead at the end of the series. If there was any thought that they would instead move her into hiding and use it to show Saul first meeting the witness relocation vacuum salesman, recall that the required actor passed away recently.
That is the outcome I hope for, but realistically she either dies or goes to jail.

i still gotta say though that even with 2 seasons of Lalo and the finale, the cartel stuff has been pretty tame
breaking bad is the show that really pushed the top tier crazy cartel shit (beheading, tortoise bomb)
ask me, better call saul should have surpassed any of that already, so that when we finally meet saul during breaking bad we know he's seen and dealt with some true agents of loco land
chopped up body parts, bullet storm prison breaks and live skinning is where i'm setting the bar for season 6
Lalo and the guy forced to double-cross (sorry, forget his name), are both mentioned in the presentence by Saul in BB.
Doesn’t mean neither or both die, but in BB Saul refers to them both as if they’re alive.
yep, you know he's tailing it to go pick his dad up and his dad doesn't wanna go anywhereUhm... there will be... repercussions for Nacho...
Any chance Kim joins the cartel and runs off with Lalo? Deep sexual tension between the two of them.
And Howard? What will be his fate?
Uh, do you actually mean presentence (because it is a word) or present tense?Lalo and the guy forced to double-cross (sorry, forget his name), are both mentioned in the presentence by Saul in BB.

Jimmy realizes that Kim has become too evil and reluctantly kills her off, completing his becoming Saul Goodman.
This is silly, but the thing that bugs me the most about Howard is that pinned collared shirt he always wears - I hate it.I feel like he's due for a win. He's not the most likeable guy, kinda robotic, but he's not really a bad one. He was never against Jimmy in any way, and even pushed for him whenever he could. He was so loyal to Chuck that he agreed to be the fall guy for him every time Chuck wanted to fuck his brother over or treat him like shit.
I'm not a fan either. I also don't like the knot he uses for his ties, and I definitely do not like that he named a color after himself (Hamlindigo Blue). This is silly, but the thing that bugs me the most about Howard is that pinned collared shirt he always wears - I hate it.
Still need to catch up on this fifth season. The last episode I watched was the one where Saul chucked a bowling bowl onto Howard's car[/spoiler]
Or no wait, I think it was when Mike woke up in a strange barn somewhere? He got stabbed by some kids that he fucked up on the street after he was walking home
How would you rate the final stretch of episodes for season five? I think I'm halfway through them
Same here, love this show. I don't think there's any way it can surpass Breaking Bad though. That shit was unbelievableThe final stretch of episodes for S5 is some of the best telly out there to date, I adore this show with an immense passion and think it is on it's way to surpassing BB for me!
