So, I finally got the chance to experience Beyonce, her lemonade... and Self-titled is the superior album. Lemonade works best as a visual album complete with the poetic interludes imo. Musically, the songs on Beyonce far outclass those on Lemonade as I feel I can listen to a lot more of them compared to Lemonade. Not to say its a bad album, because it isn't, I just don't think its the Earth shattering tour de force that's getting everyone here so wet.

I feel like 6 Inch is the only track that approaches Partition, Haunted, or Blow from a bop point of view.

But the mellower tracks like Love Drought and Pray You Catch Me and the filthy, overweeningly angry ones like Don't Hurt Yourself and Sorry are amazing in their own way, for the particular soundscapes they create for times when I'm not merely craving a bop.

Beyoncé is the better album, but Lemonade is the better "experience" (I sound like Xbox PR rn)
