Not likely. The clip O'Reilly showed on his show leads me to believe that's it's going to be fairly calm and relatively uninteresting. However, it might convince some people that he is not as much of a douchebag as they think he is.

How would a few minutes on another TV show negate the image he has built up after YEARS of his own show?

I have to say O'Reilly came off as relatively respectful. I was shocked, but I guess he lost his whole, 'it's my show' crap. I almost thought he sounded sane and reasonable too.

I agree with a lot -- although definitely not "all" -- of O'Reilly's ideals, but man, I cannot stand the guy. He cuts people off unnecessarily and acts like a pest.

I remember this one guy being rescued by firemen or something during the 9/11 attacks, and he later came on O'Reilly's show just as a token "look, I'm a survivor" piece than anything else, and the guy didn't really know what to say. He was a bit nervous, I think, since he'd never been on television before. Anyway, he said something like, "I just thank God. I don't know why I'm here today, but..." Then, O'Reilly cuts in like a wild man, "Yes, you do! Yes, you do! Those firemen are why you're here!" It was like he HAD to debate with someone who wasn't even disagreeing with him. I mean, he was pointing his finger at the guy like he'd lost his mind. I was vicariously embarassed.
