David Siegel = Jason Segel?
It doesn't make sense on any economic level.
You pay people with pre-tax money, the only question you need to ask yourself when hiring a person is if that person is going to generate more money than you're paying him, if that person does, you need to hire that person in order to maximize your profits, regardless of the tax rate.
This.
A chain letter is fraud?
What a heroic job creator.

Timeshare companies are the scum of the earth and their executives should be chased like vermin.
That's all I have to say.
Depends on the state.
I...don't see the issue?
The man is just simply looking out for his employees. More than I can say for my own boss.
I really do wonder what's going to happen in this country during the next decade or so as more and more events like this go public. Seems like ever week a story comes out like this.
Does anyone else feel like the country has gotten a lot more rude since Obama was elected? Publicly I mean. It's like his election was some sort of pass to do and say this type of thing. I don't know but it seems strange to me. I remember way back when, someone pretty much interrupted the him during a speech and called him a liar. This all doesn't seem very typical.
Isn't he just saying that if taxes are raised and he's not making enough money he has to cut back on jobs? I don't see it as a threat and I've had to make cutbacks to my own company due to over head and employee wages. It sucks to do but a business can't run on breaking even.

The economy doesnt currently pose a threat to your job, Siegel wrote, noting that the company is the most profitable [it's] ever been.
This guy is a piece of shit, but I think the title of the thread is a little sensationalist.
Oblivious
That to me doesnt sound like any imposed taxes will lead to them merely breaking even...
rich jerk said:They create most of the jobs.
He added that he "hasn't had any negative feedback" on the letter.
Is this not illegal?
Guy is a class act. In multiple ways.

I eat, live, and breathe this company every minute of the day, every day of the week. There is no rest. There is no weekend. There is no happy hour.
77 years old. Yeah we won't have to worry too much longer.
4 points to ronito!
The only thing I really like about the Obama administration, is that it has severely frustrated the bigots and self centered selfish assholes of the world. They are going batshit insane.
The rest of the world is burning, might as well enjoy the show..
In a lot of states inside the USA they do not need a reason to fire you they just can.could a business owner just go out the parking lot and pick vehicles that have obama bumper stickers on it and fire those employees? that's not breaking any laws is it?
Obama killing shady businesses? Go Obama!
Seriously?
Guy's a BILLIONAIRE.
Meh, no different than unions telling its members how to vote.
I don't get this. Zhengi, are you saying you are fine with this because unions do it?
So because the company is the most profitable it has ever been in the past, if profits in the future decrease (but is still profitable), then employees need to be let go. WHAT?
Does GAF flip out when unions do the same thing?
Oblivious
What?
He's simply saying that any additional financial burdens imposed on him will wind up hurting his employees, and he doesn't want to see that happen.
Do you also happen to get angry at fathers who refuse to buy their spoiled kids ferraris and thousand dollar dresses?
I'd like to see you in a thousand dollar dress.
