sorry.some of us experience the real racism without the 'haha', so it's pretty annoying to joke about it and play the spectatcle. Bad day, I'll just steer clear.

well I get along with black people more online than off, I dont go out of my way to be friends or anything IRL and if I do become friends I like playing off the racial sterotypes jokes infronta non suspecting white people, who get freaked out.

I've gotten "are you from another country?" a couple of times during high school because I didn't do the whole "Hay y'all I be fixin' to be doin' sumfin' and imul do it" thing like most everyone else there.

This was from other black kids, though. :\

Shit. You're black too? What is it about black people and hentai?

I know the feeling. I play Infantry and when I had to speak on behalf of my squad, because the captain was late, everyone was like "OMG" "Bishman black?!" "N1GGER!!!!!" "LOL".

Or when I tell people online on livejournal, forums, or 1up.

Someone even told me, they thought I was white because I capitalize my sentences.

Once I let people know that I am black, immediately they tell me that they know a black person and s/he is like "totally" their best friend, or ask if we can play NBA Live online and will I spot them 10 pts, that kind of stuff. Is it always like this? Can other black folks relate? Perhaps we should create our own separate internet where we won't be subjected to stereotypes and harassment.

Discuss.
nigga please.

hey Bish, if I lived in your basement, we could play NBA Live all the time and root for Shelton Benjamin together AS BEST FRIENDS.. and bake cookies.

I fucking HATE shit like this. That fucking art reminds me of the bullshit 'be a PROUD young black man' shit all over the school walls back when I was in high school.

One day when I was playing dreamcast pso, some dude joined the party and asked if anyone in the room was black. I said 'yeah' thinking he might have been black too and wanted just wanted to know if anybody else was for some reason.

But noooooo, as soon as I said yeah he started up with the nazi bullshit and such. Then, he started using the custom smileys he made. All of them made with nazi shit in them. Pretty funny though, seeing cute pso smileys with all that nazi stuff.

I fucking hate that shit too, and I'm white. I hate all of those fucking bullshit chicken soup books. I hate the pricks and bitches that write that crap also.

I do like chicken soup when i don't feel good, though.

I didn't know black guys could be so effeminate until I met Konex. ;)

In relative proportions, I've met more black people that actually know how to use the English language online than I have any other group. What's more frightening is that on the bottom of that list is Asian people. I'm my own minority =(.

bish, I think you need to make another "I SPEAK FOR ALL BLACK PEOPLE" thread - sponsered by Ms. Rippin' and Dippin'.

Here to stay, but pretty soon I hear that coloured people will soon have to have their nationality and/or colour as part of their handles, as to determine whether or not they are National Security threats.

Pretty soon your handle will be "(BL)bishoptl". Oh you just wait and see!

:lol Damn, I must be blind. I was like, "I can't believe nobody posted this!"

haha, no problem. Like I said, it was worth a second mention. I like how you gave it a title instead of just the URL. Very snappy.

But getting back on topic: why is it that nearly every black person you encounter online has perfect spelling and grammar, while a good chunk of every other race is incompetent in both regards?

:lol :lol @ that blackpeopleloveus.com site. That absolutely made my day. :D

On the actual topic, there aren't too many black people in my hometown, unfortunately. Though I've tried not to think of or treat black people differently from how I treat other folks, since I've gone to college and lived with tons of black people all year, any previous preconceptions I had were all but obliterated. I think I even developed crushes on a couple of black girls there, which had never happened while I'd been at home. :p People who still think of black people as being sort of a "novelty" are just stoopid.

And the thing about commenting on them "being articulate" is pretty fucking stupid too, I agree.

It might be because they feel they have something to prove. Almost every preconceived notion one might have of black people is probably going to be negative. I think that this is the essential difference between being a black person and being a person of any other race.

Disagree, It has nothing to do with having to prove something. I don't have to prove anything. Could be just as simple as this is how I write?

I can only speak for myself. I believe the reason that I dont use a lot of the "pwoned" and "roxor" is that I dont spend enough time on the forums to gain any real habits. I've been a member of the IGN forums since 2002 and barely have 1300 posts while they're people who joined in Feb of this year who have 3k-5k.

However I post here more, I dont know why but I like it better.
