Probably around the time the 12:00pm NFL game starts lol. Opening at 8 is just ridiculous and more states should follow the blue law or whatever that is. It's Thanksgiving. Every store should be closed and be with the families.

It works for me though. I have some family out of town so were celebrating on Saturday.

I'm looking at the two things I want at Best Buy on their website, and I see a "coming soon" notice where the "buy now" button should be.

I'm assuming that I can get the Black Friday prices for both on their website, and they're holding off on selling them until then.

Good, I'm working on Friday anyways, this is what I was hoping for. :-)

So if any of you are Best Buy Silver Reward Members, meaning you have spent $2,500.00 in one year @ Best Buy, they are doing the regular preview sale on Monday

http://www.bestbuy.com/preview20121118?ref=56&loc=125&CampaignID=319405&SubscriberID=4772633

Most items that will be sold on Black Friday will be sold earlier on Monday November 19th @11AM EST

You can't do in store pick-up

Good chance to double dip, get all items online & shipped, then go stand on line and get tickets =D

I wonder if a laptop with windows8 worth it.

Well I'm grabbing those HP Envy's @ Best Buy

The $499 15" for cousin
The $529 17" for me

My 3 year old Vaio is going to get retired and become a Bluray + HTMPC (home theater mobile personal computer) in the living room with my 65" Plasma

can someone tell me if the i3 processor computer on page 3 for best buy is a good buy? im trying to buy a computer and have about 400 to spend. that seems to be the best one so far.

Any good action films for Blu Ray on sale anywhere? I've looked through some of the major retailers ads and its a bunch of shitty movies. Wish I could find something like a Die Hard or Lethal Weapon set on the cheap.

Anyone know of a Windows 8 OEM on sale anywhere? I need it to install on a brand new machine, so no upgrade version will do. It must be a full install version.

Wait about 3-4 months..

But i want it nowwwwww. Yeah I already buying full price is going to smack me upside the head but in 3 - 4 months i'll be dead set in the middle of Spring Semester with 3 labs and 4 classes. rather have it for the thxgvg/winter break to play it.

Do we know if Amazon will be doing their printed magazine sale again this year? Really liked getting a year of Mac Life and Maximum PC for $5 each.

How many of htese deals will be available online? I'm not going to be in a position to go out shopping for pretty much the whole week.

Amazon's Black Friday deals starting on the 19th at an undisclosed time, likely running lightening deals through the day, but, here are some of the items guaranteed up (stolen from bens bargains):

Home Theater

Roku HD 720p Streaming Player $39
Panasonic DMP-BD87 Blu-ray Disc Player for $68
Samsung HW-E350 32" AirTrack Soundbar for $98
Sceptre SB20202B Home Theater Soundbar for $38

HDTVs

Vizio E601-A3 60" RazorLED Smart HDTV for $688
Panasonic TC-L55ET5 55" 3D LED LCD HDTV for $899
Hiteker TL50Z10AH-TP 50" 1080p LCD HDTV for $288
Samsung UN46EH5300 Wi-Fi 46" Smart HDTV for $598
TCL L42FHDE30 42" 60Hz Slim-Bezel LCD HDTV for $179
Toshiba 40E220U 40" 1080p 60Hz LCD HDTV for $179
Haier L32A2120 32" 720p 60Hz LCD HDTV for $97
Panasonic TC-L32C5 32" 720p 60Hz LCD TV for $189
Samsung UN32EH4003 32" 720p LED HDTV for $248
Coby LEDTV2326 23" 1080p LED HDTV/Monitor for $78

So the two I bolded above are what I'm interested in. How good are these TV's for console gaming?

Also, how fast do you have to be come the 19th to snag one of them up, and which should I lean towards?

I'd like to know too. Anyone have any recommendations?

Decided to go with Best Buy's Bond 50 set but am waiting to see how much Amazon will sell it for on Saturday since it'll be a gold box deal.

...if less than $130, I'll see what Best Buy can do for me.

Does anyone with more Black Friday experience know approximately how early you'd have to get to stores (Best Buy specifically) to have a shot at the door busters? I live in a town of about 150k with one Best Buy.

I was mostly interested in the $190 Lenovo laptop, but if I'm going to have to skip Thanksgiving to get it, I'll pass.

Toshiba 40E220U 40" 1080p 60Hz LCD HDTV for $179

Seeing this in the Best Buy ad. Anyone seen a better approximately 40 inch TV for about the same price? Also they have a $40 Toshiba BluRay player I may grab if Best Buy is where I end up.

For items like that, you'd miss Thanksgiving.

anybody know what amazon.ca typically does during BF/CM? I know it's more of a U.S thing but I need a new laptop and am wondering if there's any real point in waiting as a canadian

Geez my Best Buy got cleaned out in just a few hours. Had to pick up Lion King 3D, Prometheus 3D, and Breaking Bad S3/4 from Amazon.

Best Buy also has some $3.99 blu-ray deals that Amazon's price matching:

Caddyshack
Dumb And Dumber
The Last Samurai
Blazing Saddles
Journey To The Center Of The Earth 2
Sucker Punch
Hall Pass
Red Riding Hood

And some pretty good B1G1 deals:

BOGO

And they're doing a Steelbook sale, $10 each.

Anyone know of any deals coming up on 4tb drives?
Was pretty tough to pass on the $90 3tb drives yesterday

I don't know of any specific deals on 4tb's (those are all just 2x2TB's right? Is there such a thing as a 4tb HDD?) but if that's what you're looking for, you should set a deal alert for it at slickdeals. SD will automatically e-mail you (they may have SMS alerts as well, I forget) when someone posts a thread containing that term. This advice pretty much applies to anyone seeking out one or two specific things. If you aren't in on the deal when slickdeals hears about it, you're pretty likely to miss it.

4TB drive exist (obligatory "Is such thing possible" image). The only deal I have ever seen was 199 in Costco.

I was skeptical, so I had to check for myself. Wow is the markup enormous. $300+. For that price you can almost get three 3tb HDD's.
