Really need help on a TV. I don't really know much about tv's but looking for a good lcd or led around 40" for around $500. Any recomendations? One that isn't some door buster would be preferred.

I saw a couple Samsungs that fit around there, just don't know if it's a good choice or deal.

Is that Toshiba 40 at amazon deal already over? I'm looking to pick one up for my dad and would like as many chances at one as I can get.

All seasons of Chuck are $10 on amazon right now.

Damn, got my hopes up when I saw this. :(

Already have 1+2 on bluray but need to upgrade the rest.

Jeez I hope not. Would like to know this as well, was hoping to pick one up without having to try for the doorbuster at Best Buy.

Not sure if its part of the Black Friday deals, but Amazon has Batman: the Animated Series marked to $15 per volume. Cheapest I've seen them in a while.

My blu-ray haul so far:

Best Buy:

$9.99 - How Do You Know + Bad Teacher
$14.99 - Harold and Kumar 3D Christmas

Amazon:

$11.99 - Breaking Bad S3
$11.99 - Breaking Bad S4
$14.99 - Prometheus 3D
$19.99 - Lion King 3D
$3.99 - Hall Pass
$5.99 - In Time

Target:

$8.00 - Alien
$8.00 - Cabin in the Woods

Already $109.92 + tax :(

Edit: Also LOTR blu-ray extended individual releases are supposed to be $10 each at Target, no extras. I couldn't find them when I went though.

Just picked up blu rays

4.75$ Terminator 2 Skynet
16.99 Supernatural Season 7
16.99 Fringe Season 4
9.99 Girl With Dragon Tatoo.

Glad i waited, these all just dropped today.

Yesterday i gots

3.99 Sucker Punch
14.99 Prometheus 3d
14.99 Titanic 3d
11.99 Office S7

Pretty damn good prices so far. I knew there would be a ton of hidden deals. Hoping these dont drop further though, i mean they are all over 70-75% off. Amazon usually doesnt go to 80% except in the rarest of cases.

I picked up Titanic 3D and Lion King 3D from Best Buy. I might get Tangled too. It was posted on another forum that Amazon is price matching BB. So I prefer BB on this.

So far I've got

Walking dead S1 11.99
Walking dead S2 24.99
dragon tattoo 9.99
The pacific 34.99
Homeland season 1 24.99

Waiting for Mad Men S5 deal.

Edit: Also LOTR blu-ray extended individual releases are supposed to be $10 each at Target, no extras. I couldn't find them when I went though.

Buy the box set so you get the extras. it is worth it just for the bonus features.

EDIT: Also snagged Fringe Season 4 on Blu. Was hoping that would go cheap. YAY!

Waiting for Mad Men S5 deal.

I got Mad Men Season 1-3 on 11/26/10 for $9.99 each and Season 4 on 11/24/11 for $14.99. I would expect to see the Mad Men deal to show up on Black Friday or at some point during the weekend if history means anything. Can't wait to get Season 5!

I just got this from Amazon:

Die Hard Blu Ray Collection: $20
Oceans Collection: $10
Minus $5 coupon on Slickdeals.net for the Amazon Facebook app and Free Super Saving shipping = $25 shipped plus tax. Not bad.

Picked up Cabin in the Woods at Target. Got one of my BF deals out of the way... Time to wait for the others.

I want my Sherlock Holmes: GoS bd for $3.99 pls.

Anyone know of any good fashion deals?

Generally, is Old Navy the only place with good clothing deals?

For fashion deals, I like Dappered, although they almost exclusively focus on budget clothing. For more expensive stuff, Styleforum has threads dedicated to sales. You can also filter the Slickdeals "Hot Deals" forum to only show clothing deals.

I've already beaten my spending record last year ($3)...picked up a new pair of IEMs on sale, and a $90 3TB external drive. Now, if someone would just discount a Nike Fuelband, I'd be golden.

Anyone can point to me where there are some nice quality headphones on sale? I want to drop some money on some, have been rocking some really old earphones, and have been kind of sick of using it.

Well, spent around 150$ now, pretty damn tempted to not visit Amazon anymore. For one i dont want to cringe at stuff going even cheaper and second i cant afford any more. Pretty much everything i got was discounted so heavily i dont think its going lower, but i did snag a couple of 8-10$ blu rays that might go lower. The one good thing about this is ill get everything Wednesday before the long weekend! Ill also be away for thanksgiving so that should sway my fix for the internet..fucking amazon

-i might buy Mad Men S 5 if that has a big drop though. That should be it.

My blu ray haul from bestbuy:

2001: A Space Odyssey/A Clockwork Orange/The Shining triple pack $10
21 Jump Street $15
Black Dynamite - buy one get one free with 21 Jump Street
Blazing Saddles $4
Caddyshack $4
Lord of the Rings Extended Trilogy $40

About the only thing left that I want is Pulp Fiction for $4.

Are there any deals on Asura's Wrath? So far I plan on nabbing Spec Ops and SSX, but would also get AW at the right price.

If anyone finds any Lethal Weapon Blu Rays on the cheap, give me a heads up. Either a cheap collection, or the first one cheap.

Also, Amazon has a nice deal on the Dark Knight trilogy preorder for $30.

Cool, here's a neat thing, Wal-Mart just randomly changed my original schedule of 4:30pm - 3:00am to 4:30pm - 9:00am. This close to saying "fuck you."

Just Prometheus 3D, Justified S2, and Breaking Bad S3 and S4 so far.

I can add them to my ever growing blu-ray backlog!

Buy the box set so you get the extras. it is worth it just for the bonus features.

EDIT: Also snagged Fringe Season 4 on Blu. Was hoping that would go cheap. YAY!

I never buy box sets because I'm OCD about having all my blu-ray packaging look exactly the same. Don't care about extras either, so this is a much better deal for me than the $39.99 box set.

Anyway, I went back to Target and found them. apparently they're hidden in the woman's apparel section.

Does anyone know when Best Buy's website opens up for Black Friday? Not for silver but for everyone else? The stores are opening at midnight; but that's regional, so will it be open at say 9pm on the west-coast since that is midnight east-coast time?

I thought I read something implying that it would be open for deals on Thanksgiving itself, but no time was mentioned....Anybody know from previous experience?

Anyone can point to me where there are some nice quality headphones on sale? I want to drop some money on some, have been rocking some really old earphones, and have been kind of sick of using it.

Staples has 50% off Audio Technica headphones. Great quality all around.

hmmmmmmmm dunno if i should wait til friday or buy some games now from the best buy black friday preview sale.

last year i did for a couple things and it took ages to ship and come here.

I think i might just in case they sell out on friday

What day? Working at Walmart must suck dude.

Thursday afternoon into Friday morning. My "lunch" is from 1:00 to 2:00am. I've been told that if all you get away with is being cursed/yelled at, to count yourself lucky. I'll probably end up just walking out or not showing up at all. I was dreading, but ultimately okay, with working until 3am because I expected a nightmarish shift and that seemed par for the course. But another six hours added onto that? lol

shintoki, it's 17 hours not counting lunch. yep.

Oh I forgot to mention perhaps the best part-- I have to come back in Friday at 4:00. That's about... 5 hours of sleep after that massive shift when you factor in the time it takes to drive home, settle down, sleep, get up, get ready, and drive back. I live about 20 minutes away.

Are you sure that is legal in your state? Some states require your consent for a longer shift

Almost every employee is working that long. I guess it is legal. I know some people there asked for the long shifts, but I didn't.

edit: well, not almost every employee, there's no way I could know something like that, BUT I do know at least five people I talked to also had the same shift.
