Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War |OT| If You Wanna See Some Action

I watched eps 11 & 12.

Lille's final form is so cool. The progression of his power from a sniper who can shoot through anything to a divine messenger casting god's judgment down on sinners is a sight. His bird neck and voice are appropriately creepy, his eyes are no longer even fit for this world. Supposedly they're too pure but in a way he's not even taking things in properly anymore. He doesn't even hear Nanao declare the power of her zanpaktuto until thinking back after he's been struck by his own attack, and his favorable reaction to her line about how he's like a god now underscore about how his whole spiel about being Yhwach's first to receive a schrift is all narcissistic (not that this wasn't already clear).

Deus ex machina zanpakuto is as deus ex machina as ever, but like with a lot of the episodes of the adaptation, I'm liking the anime more than the manga.

The Bazz-B ep wasn't as impressive as the Lille and Pernida ones, but it was really all about getting Bazz and Hashbrown's beef and backstory out into the open and establishing Hash's purpose in Yhwach's organization. The fight was still a fun spectacle though, even if Bazz got stomped.

They released a cool little recap video with a preview for the part 3 finale. I was thinking the finale was this week since they usually show the last 2 episodes of each part together but it's seems we're getting an extra episode for Part 3 as the trailer for next week's finale says episode 39+40:

EDIT: I just noticed Hash has the eyes at the end. It's gonna be fire🔥.

Exciting recap video. "What Can You See In Their Eyes" blaring at full volume really hammered in that TYBW could have been even better if production didn't dial back the OST, but I'm still happy with what we're getting.

I'm not sure if the ending is a hint at what's to come in the season finale or just a peek into next season though. Future spoilers: Ichigo still has to get beaten off-screen by Askin lol. God, the abrupt cut to Ichigo, face in the dirt, in the comic was so good. Poor guy is in so over his head.

Man the whole season was fire and then they had to end it with these two episodes where not much happens. I was kinda disappointed. Back to waiting now I guess....

Bad news guys, looks like Part 4 is 2026. Apparently the manga was rushed during this part so Kubo is fleshing it out and adding a shitload of content to it so it will be really good, now we just need to survive another year to see it.

Sounds like good news. Blood War has been enjoyable throughout, glad they're taking care with the final part.

That's fine: the manga finale desperately needs a rework, so if they need an extra year to stick the landing then I say take it.

Is it true the last opening is Aqua Timez?
No, that's not confirmed yet. Aqua Timez recently released a special track called "Old Rose" for Bleach in conjunction with Shonen Jump, that's what you heard about:

It would be cool if Aqua Timez did do the opening though as a throwback. Personally I would've preferred SCANDAL, who also did 2 openings in the old series to do the last one, but the fact that they are no longer under a Sony owned label makes that pretty much impossible. In any case it will be tough to beat that part 3 opening, it's so good.

So I recently started watching animes and have seen DragonballZ, AoT, Record of Ragnarok and recently this one (haven't watched original series). After few episodes I was like guys stop telling your attack/bankai details to your opponent, they use the knowledge to counter you but nope, it goes on. I understand that it is for the audience to understand but it got old after a while.

Later it became like two 10 year old kids making up powers/techniques for their fighters mainly the sniper quincy guy vs the kimono wearing captain. It went on like hey I did this so you are dead now, oh no but now I did this so you are dead, oh but I opened my eyes and scratched my butt so I can't die now and so on. Also that Kenpachi guy is super op in one episode and then super fodder in another. I finished all episodes available till now but don't think I am gonna wait for the next ones. No disrespect to the series or the viewers.

I am curious about the Aizen guy though and probably going to watch his backstory on youtube.

Kind of a weird choice to watch this without having seen the original series. I can see it being a lot harder to enjoy if there's no prior knowledge of events/characters or the nostalgia factor.

As for Zaraki, even though he beat Gremmy, he still got heavily fucked up in the process and in no condition for another fight right after so the Bambis coming in right then were able to best him easily. As for his fight with Pernida. Zaraki isn't a deep thinker, and just uses his immense strength and spiritual pressure to power through battles (without using his zanpakuto's power at all and without any skill in swordsmanship), so a technique like Pernida's is his greatest weakness. My guess is that he will fight Gerard Valkyrie is part 4 because who the fuck else is gonna be able to take on a guy with so much size and power ; it'll be a good match-up for him.

As for Aizen he's the main bad guy of the original series, who they barely managed to weaken long enough to subdue and imprison him.

I'm hoping for UVERworld tbh.
