Blizzard > Nintendo

Let's put it this way: every six months, I put down all my other games and play a fuckload of Diablo 2. Have I ever done that with ANY Nintendo game after the initial playthrough? Survey sez: FUCK NO.
Survey also "sez" you're an anti-nintendo fanboy. :)

I predict this thread will reach 200+ replies.

Though I am not arguing with you when you say that Diablo 2 is brilliant, because it really is, but I must say that SMB 3 easily destroys it in any of the categories you mentioned.

Not that Nintendo has made the GREATEST GAME EVAR...

Actually, they did. Quite a few actually. And perhaps another coming in November.

Fuckin' right. If you can't acknowledge that Diablo 2 is the greatest game ever created by the hands and minds of men, then get the fuck outta my hobby cuz' you ain't got shit for perspective!

As much as I love Diablo II, WoW is a piece of shit once the 'wow' factor wears off, and strategy games are snoozefests in general.

Pitting one game against Nintendo's entire back catalogue is fallacious at best.

Sorry, but

Starcraft > Diablo 2

and there is no doubt about that.

Please note that Warcraft III: TFT is better than Diablo 2.

Please also not that Diablo 2 rocks, a lot; but I digress, Starcraft 2 should come out before Diablo III and everyone here will agree with me.

Diablo 2 has sold more copies than most Nintendo games since the SNES era. It's also the ONLY game my wife will play. It's universal!

Starcraft sold more than Diablo 2.

Blizzard is a good developer but they are not on the same level as Nintendo. Nintendo has been producing dozens of great games, each year, for 20+ years.

The most important game of all time is a Nintendo game, not a Blizzard game. That game is Mario 64, it will be studied for generations.

I don't think anyone at Blizzard would want to compare themselves with Nintendo.

It was never funny. There's nothing hi-larious about a middle-grade developer elevated to iconic status by overly nostalgic manchildren. It's really just sad, and those poor deluded souls should probably install and play Diablo 2 to get a sense for REAL gaming.

Mario 64? Most of us have thankfully already forgotten it. Starcraft, on the other hand, remains delightfully modern eight years later.

Blizzard games endure. Nintendo games are amusing relics.

I play through Metroid 3 at least once a year. Given your tastes, I doubt you even played that once.

Did you just call Super Mario 64 the most important game of all time? :lol

Anyone who "studies" Mario 64 is an "academic" of the variety known for making anti-grizzly suits or hillbilly recreations of Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Look at the monstrous number of people still playing Diablo 2 and Starcraft online.

Blizzard gives gamers games which last 7-10 years or longer.

Nintendo would rather have you rebuy the same game two to three times within an eight year period.

It is the most important game of all time.

Do a poll of developers and I bet you that Mario 64 comes out on top.

This lines pretty amusing I'll give you that. Even the most humour challenged will eventually come out with something remotely approaching humour thanks to the never ending principle of trial and error. All the same, the use of the term 'nostalgic manchildren' is a pretty ironic thing to say in your case since you're using a five year old game as a reference while you’re posting flame bait and trolls and bitching on a company widely regarded as 'kiddie'. Well done.

Look at the monstrous number of people that still play Zelda: OoT. Stop with the fallacies, please.

I'm sorry; I couldn't hear you over all the WAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH.

Didn't you claim in your blog last year that you act like an ass to promote discussion and learn something?

What exactly do you plan to learn here?

Like fast food, I sometimes can't help myself; I must post in this filthy, toxic thread

Drinky Troll, I know you honestly don't believe Blizzard is a greater company than Nintendo.

but whats hi-larious is that you piss, moan and complain about nintendo fanboyism and then post this kind of hypocritical garbage. what a neo maxi zoom dweeby.

Why would anyone play Zelda 64 more than once?

Metal Gear Solid, though, now that's a game worth playing through multiple times//

Porridge has analyzed Drinky Crow and come to some very wrong conclusions. Could someone who gets it help Porridge out? :(

And I not only believe Blizzard to be superior to Nintendo; I consider it an established and ultimately indisputable fact, much like the Earth revolving around the sun, Tom Cruise being gay, and GaimeGuy never knowing a woman's love.

I will go as far as to agree with you when you say that Nintendo is vastly overrated. I can't say much for their prior generation stuff, because (not counting Mario Kart 64 and 1080) I haven't played any of it after Super Mario 2. But this generation's games have been average to above average at best. Nothing stellar, nothing worthy of a million drooling cubites running around proclaiming Miyamoto to be God and Reggie to be his prophet. They're lucky to have Retro to keep up the appearance of having a first party lineup that can compete with Sony and, to a lesser extent, Microsoft. They don't have the lineup, of course, but Retro at least gives them something.

You guys DC is really honoring Nintendo more than anything. Anytime a "greatest of all time" topic comes up the fact that he knows he has to pit them against Nintendo sez a helluva lot for that company. He didn't make a Blizzard>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Bioware, Konami, Monolith, Treasure, Sega, Maxis, Looking Glass ect. topic he KNEW he had to pit them against the best or who are considered the best.

Nintendo's record speaks for itself and so does Blizzards. Blizzard is one of the only companies who even deserves to be mentioned in the same sentence as Nintendo when considering past and present accomplishments.

Kinda like a Jack Thompson red dot on something, a Drinky anti-Nintendo rant means Nintendo Sales++. All this mentioning of some of their games that have slipped peoples' minds, you know...

I would almost completely agree with this if it wasn't for existence of Intelligent Systems. If there ever was a flawless developer in the console world it would be them.

Any real man knows that gamerankings is the only way to justify all arguments surrounding the overall quality of a company and/or its games.

no drinky, i get your act! like that lovable uncle who's always getting drunk, you have your endearing moments

I just had to reply to this feeble attempt at trolling. you've done better and worry not, we still find you mildly amusing

Believe :(

No, although DW5 > Nintendo's entire Gamecube lineup, with the possible exclusion of Twilight Princess and Fire Emblem.

Diablo 2 is a stratum of gaming genius completely unattainable by either Nintendo or Koei, although it's kinda cute when they try.
