Yeah it's awesome if you play regularly. I mean if I'm going to so a dungeon I can mount up buy flask potions. Get them from mail get a repair hammer. Anything I want. And I don't have to move to do it. If you have the extra money it's great.

Played SOD recently and sometimes wanted to enrage when i traveled like 20 minutes and forgot to buy a stupid item for a rune quest. Jeeves also would have helped a lot.

I escaped from the clutches of that time black hole years ago....but mail and AH access on my mount?!?! Yeah, I am about to log in and buy two of those things on the off chance I ever get back into WoW. Mount ascetics aside that is a giant QOL benefit for players in the game.

TBH people that need instant access to the AH are probably making hundreds of times more than the costing the mount just playing AH all day.

People who bought the old mount still have it. It didn't got away.

I think you got my post confused a bit I meant the opportunity to buy it for 1mil gold from the vendor went at the end of the expansion. The only way to obtain the mount currently is from the Black Market Auction House.
