I still remember the diablo dev saying they don't make product announcements unless it's 1.5 years off at the maximum. 2010 unless they hit some serious snags.

edit: Bring Paladin please. I want to play a warrior of the light.

Bioware said they will be putting up video of the full demo they are showing the press online at the end of Gamescon. Tommorow is there fan-friday, and it will probably go up then. Then more info at PAX.
 
Can't wait, if they announce WoW expansion I will probably resubscribe out of hype. And need more info about Diablo III.

I find myself quite apathetic about Starcraft II but I'm not the biggest RTS fan around.

That's actually why I'm really hyped as well. I would like Blizzard to announce their new MMO so I could compare it to SWTOR (I played WoW for a bit but the lack of story and personal narrative really got on my nerves and the whole game just became a grind that served no purpose).

However, Diablo III and StarCraft II (and the full SWTOR demo) are enough for me, although I wouldn't mind seeing the new WoW expansion.

I don't really see them showing a WoW expansion. They still have Icecrown Citadel to unveil and I think they want it to be a big deal. Completely overshadowing it with an expansion seems unlikely to me. Beh.

Thread title made me LOL for real. I dont care much about Blizzcon because Im not a WoW player anymore and Diablo 3 is still so far away but the original Diablo is one of my top games of all time. Good times.
 
The only thing I'm looking forward to out of Blizzard is Diablo III and if they manage to fuck it up as bad as they did WotLK (which has almost completely turned me off of MMORPGs), I'll probably quit PC-gaming as a whole with the exception of TF2.
 
In person attendance itself was triple that cost from what I gather. I'm pretty sure that if it wasn't Blizzard, the idea of a convention centered around one company that cost over $100 a pop would be laughed at.

It's common knowledge they will show it. It's not a "wow, maybe they will". It's a 100 percent, no question about it, the expansion will be debuted.

Ice crown is the last dungeon/major patch WOTLK will be getting, so the next expansion will have to come out by next holiday.

If they don't announce it this Blizzcon, they will be forced to announce it next Blizzcon, meaning the beta process will be a couple months if wre are lucky. Which is simply not long enough.

The expansion will be announced, and probably playable(maybe) tomorrow. Their next MMO? Probably not, they will probably save that for next Blizzcon.

Remember, these guys do not go to E3 etc .. Most major announcements come at Blizzcon.

Yah, I definitely see a Ranger pet class in this game. I'm thinking of it being a mix between WoW Hunters and D2 Druids, and it could have a bit of a traps assassin thrown in.

That's a good question, I never paid much attention to previous blizzcons, do they usually drop the big info in panels or in a keynote-like speech?

Plus I really hope they show off a revamped Battle Net, and maybe even announce they're implementing it in SC1. I still love the game but good lord setting up a game/finding games is so ugly/archaic

The next WoW expansion will be announced and it will be ready for release quicker (relatively speaking) than WotLK was. (Hence the playable on show floors rumor) I'm expecting late summer/fall next year. Almost all Boubouille said will be true.

Diablo 3 will have a fourth, but not a fifth, class unveil. Act 2 will be shown; maybe Act 3. There will be no talk regarding the release date or beta.

Starcraft's single player will be shown off extensively. Beta will be started. Bnet will be unveiled. They'll announce a target release date of Spring/Summer 2009.

They're making an unannounced MMO atm and will have alot of talent on it. Ex-lead designer of WoW Tigole is working on it

I want to believe, but I doubt beta will start anytime soon.
 
Motherfucker! I though D3 was planned for release late this year? Is that SC2? I mean I want both but I was D3 more. This fucking sucks.

Fingers crossed then. I just really, really, really hope it's a bit more mature then WoW has become and not so filled up with 3rd grade cultural references that really aren't funny anymore in the amount they have been put it.

Don't get me wrong WoW has evolved great in many respects, but imho the choice to add 10 new levels with each expansion wasn't the brightest because old content was worthless and making new alts more and more daunting. It would have been much better for the game to keep the level cap and then just add content to that. New classes, new and more complex raids. Then after level cap all the progression would be made through gear, and old gear wouldn't become obsolete but a starting point for new adventures.

WoW Cataclysm if its really what people are saying it is is a almost like if Blizzard agrees with this. Also Blizz has been trying to make leveling easier, but this is not the right solution because Azeroth is still a dead.

Whether you like the games or not (they are not your style) if you're a gamer you should be able to tell a quality game when you see one.

Blizzard is one of the best developers in the world and they pride themselves on the quality of their games. They're on the level with Nintendo, or perhaps even better.

Good developers like this aren't common, not many get the opportunity to make games how they want to make them and make them good no matter what.

Blizzcon is one of the best weekends of the year :D

The whole thing is a comercial. The fans get them enough money so that they could bradcast the show for free. And with all the money they make with wow they dont need 40€ from me for a stream.
