Blizzcon Discussion thread of "you made how many billion?"

I would be shocked if you didn't get at all of that or at least a good portion of that information unveiled at Blizzcon.
 
I should also note that I'd be extremely surprised if the "next-gen mmo" makes an appearance here. I'm thinking it's a ways off. Like, 2013-2014 ish.
 
I jumped out of WoW a while ago, but I'm at least curious to hear what Blizzard's B-team's B-team has planned for the expansion, and the franchise going foward.

Other than that, I expect A LOT of Starcraft 2 media, and Battle.net stuff
 
I'm kinda hoping this "Cataclysm" not only restructures the zones in Azeroth but also the player models.....especially the humans. Fuckers look like muppets.

Seriously, chipping in a few more polygons on the player models would be awesome.

Eh doubt it. I dunno about muppets but they always looked like wrestlers from an AKI wrestling game to me.
 
I know last year there was like a free live stream of blizzcon from like gomtv was it? One of those streaming sites anyway. I know this year theres some 39.95 directtv/internet stream from blizzards site. I don't really want to pay for it, but I would like to watch some of the panels. Are there any free blizzcon streams?

Because the amount of people that will watch it will probably break it if it doesnt have some heavy duty stuff behind it.
 
I'm honestly thinking we're not going to get any expansion news. There is nothing in the "welcome to blizzcon" stuff about it, no posters leaked like last year, no teaser page. The opening ceremonies is only a half hour long.

I think it'll be true eventually, but it'll be next year when we hear something.

I'd be pretty surprised if we don't hear something, especially with all of the rumor rumblings lately. It's possible that we won't get the full reveal, like lots of people are speculating, but I'm expecting at least a title, logo and theme unveiling.

It's definitely going to be tomorrow. Cataclysm was trademarked a while back, MMO-Champ has been hearing things for a while, the comics have been hinting at stuff, and WotLK is set to run out of content quicker than BC did, pointing at a closer release for the next expansion than WotLKs was to BC's. Lastly, check out the program. It says the full brochure will be handed out after opening ceremonies. (i.e. after the announcement has been made so it can contain info without spoiling the big reveal.)
 
I don't really remember, but did they reveal WotLK before BC was content complete? Meaning, before you could fight Illidan?

yeah, not this blizzcon. probably not even the one after. maybe 2011...

but even if it's revealed at blizzcon 2011, i wouldn't expect it to actually be release until 1-3 years later. you know how blizzard are...

My mind is blown if true. This seems like the Blizzcon to be at. The big three all in one convention. Next year, we'll have played at least two, if not all. At least we'll have future Starcraft expansions to look forward to. :D

They should have provided bigger bottles. I'd be out of that within the first couple of hours. But at least they're offering it. Hopefully people use them. :lol

No, because the patching had different dates in BC. Black Temple came out in May, and they announced the Expansion at that Blizzcon. However, much of the info was leaked around May.

It was out before Sunwell, which was the final large instance and major content patch of BC.

WOTLK, as stated by the dev's, is the last major instance of North Rend.

Blizzard will announce the expansion tomorrow and it will come out holiday 2010 (probably, maybe summer).
 
It's hard to be hyped for diablo3 when it's more than 1 year away.

Hopefully they announce a release date for starcraft 2

Absolutely. The game holds up great, even after all these years. You should have no trouble whipping through it in a few hours, but you wont put it down for days.

If not, and you're truly doubting then YES. Diablo series is one to be played and not ignore by any gamer.
