The whole thing is a comercial. The fans get them enough money so that they could bradcast the show for free. And with all the money they make with wow they dont need 40€ from me for a stream.

Have you any idea how much it costs to raise a murloc from childhood? And then on top of that there's the training as a marine, too.

gah! :( one part of me knows that WoW have and will attribute immensely to the quality of Diablo 3 and Starcraft II, but the other part knows ( judging by their previous releasedates ) that if it hadn't been for WoW we wouldve been kneedeep in Diablo 5 and Starcraft 10

;'(

Fuck that, do you know how many temp acolytes you have to go through to summon a major demon?

I wonder if there will be any streams of people's directtv streams :lol

Fuck that murloc pet is cool. Must not buy footage. I think one of our guildies has though, keeps crapping on about his soon to be murloc pet, I'm so jealous.

How many hours untill it starts?

$50AUD for the stream .. fuuucccckkk

For us in Australia it'll start at 4:30am EST so less than 12 hours away. Early morning all the info will be out so I'm not going to bother staying up.

And yes, it's stupidly expensive. Most of the information will all be tuned through the usual fansites over the week so it's not like anyone will miss out on anything.

In terms of D3 classes I expect the following to be revealed:
1) a Ranger, which will be the bow-user that also has Paladin auras
2) a new melee that will possibly also be a pet class

Other than that, I just hope the half of the Cataclysm WoW expansion rumors (redesigning all of old Azeroth, flying mounts, new race/class combos) are true.

Yeah true, but still not as cool as Pengu!

Mmm i dunno. This one seems to shoot, kill things and then explode. It might not be as cute as a pengu, but it sure does kick ass.

I'm the only one waiting for the new Blizzard MMORPG ?
Brand new IP in more than 15 years !

Everyone can't wait for it, unfortunately we won't really hear anything about it until 2015 at this rate. @.@ Therefore everyone kinda ignores it.

Haven't played WOW (afraid to get sucked in) and am not really interested in WOW news except for the glory of Blizzard of course.
Am looking forward to news about Diablo 3.
Starcraft 2 coming out hopefully 2010 I don't need any more info on that. Day 1 purchase.
Diablo 3 will probably not come out in 2010 (just my opinion but 2 huge Blizzard games in one year would probably cause a lot of people to go into coma).

Why do we always have to wait so long for Blizzard games? (ah well at least we can count on it being superb quality)

OK, so, I never played Diablo 2. Should I give it a go in anticipation for Diablo 3?

Also I read in another thread there is a patch to allow higher resolutions than 800x600 which should help give this game a better graphics look.

blizzard have said that SC2 will come out in the first half 2010 (hopefully), so there's plenty of time in the second half of 2010 for D3.

you answered your own question. :lol

I'm not. I only started playing WoW a month ago. I've spent too much on it already for them to just go and cannibalize it so soon. Stretch it out a little longer please!

Unfortunately, it makes much more sense from a business point of view to release the wow exp (second half 2010?) before D3. WoW may be gigantic but D3 will still take quite a few players (aka monthly subs) away. 2011 :(.

I'm going to say that I think we'll either see the WoW expansion *much* earlier than that - or there will be a major patch *after* Icecrown Citadel. I still think 2010, but I'm reckoning very early 2010, Feb/March or so. After TBC, Blizzard have made it clear that they're reluctant to go for large swathes of time without new content; April brought Ulduar, August has brought the Coliseum. Second half 2010 would mean you're looking at at least ten months with only one patch to fill that space of time.

EDIT: Just found out the whole situation with the stream

We are pleased to announce that this year, for the first time, all of our streaming tournament coverage for BlizzCon will be available in both high-resolution and low-resolution formats, and you can choose whichever fits your available bandwidth. The BlizzCon website will host one stream featuring StarCraft and Warcraft III events and another dedicated to World of Warcraft. As in previous years, all of this streaming tournament coverage will be provided free of charge. Be sure to tune in to find out which teams and players are the best in the world by visiting the BlizzCon site on August 21 and 22.

To clarify, the tournament coverage streams are free, but to watch panels, see new announcements as they are made, or receive the in-game pet, you will need to order the Pay Per View Internet stream.

BlizzCon Tournament Site: http://www.blizzard.com/blizzcon/tournaments/
Pay Per View Internet Stream: http://blizzcon.rayv.com/

I'm happy that at least something is free but I wanted to see the announcements/panels :(

Well, sc2 is planned for first half 2010. Although i don't think sc2 and wow exp will be much competition to each other, my guess is they still won't release them close to one another.
And 3 AAA titles in 1 year would just be to insane to comprehend :P.

Which is the url to watch the stream? I payed for it yesterday. Can't seem to see what you're seeing.

For being a "fan" event, why are blizzard charging $40 to watch it over the internet per person.

Because they know they have the most loyal, scariest fanbase there ever was. Even Apple cultists /cower.

So what can be expected today?

NEW DANCES!!!
