I guess it's a little pricey, but it isn't just for the opening ceremony. It's for 18 hours of live content. Last year, only DirecTV subscribers could watch it. Now, it's available to everyone. They have to pay for the bandwidth some how.

I think the opening ceremony should definitely have a free stream though. Especially if there's a huge announcement.

90 minutes to go :D Time to grab some lunch. Damn, I can't get over the awesome quality of the stream. Even the "Low" version looks pretty damn good. And that version doesn't eat up my bandwidth. :D

Its more "ive been playing it for 5 years and im bored", anyways to not start a WoW War.....id love them to say that the SC2 beta starts TONIGHT!!!

That'd be awesome. Hopefully that Battle.net sc2 beta opt-in proves worthwhile :D
 
You guys realize the stream covers both days worth of content that people paid to get in to see, right? It's not just for this opening ceremony.
 
If they show their new MMORPG I don't think the internet can handle the insanity. xD
Anyway, reveal one class of diablo 3 and battle.net 2.0 will be enough for me.
 
Geezus, the live stream is going to be nice, but it doesn't looks like they're going to be covering all of the panels. That actually kind of pisses me off, since I need to be reporting on this stuff.

...you can launch the RayV player separately to access the HQ stream? I don't do this in my browser?
 
Ok, here are the urls for the Mac/PC versions of the RayV plugin. Installing this should allow you to see the HQ version of the stream.

Nope, you watch it on the live stream page. Unless there's a different player for the PC.
 
Dude, I can see it. I already installed that. It's just the exact same quality or worse than the low.

:(

Man, this is weak. Now I'm getting constant buffering pauses even with the low stream.

Appreciate you trying to help, though.
 
I just went over to Justin.tv and there are multiple streams of people streaming the stream. :lol

That's awesome :lol But, if you buy the stream, you get replays of any part of it when you want
 
Switched to Internet Explorer. Everything is fine now. Firefox fails again. I forgot that it had been giving me trouble with Youtube HD vids all month.

This HQ stream still isn't close to HD, but w/e. At least it's high quality enough. I'm glad I didn't pay for this. :lol

Glad you got things working. Hrm, that is odd. I'm using FireFox on my Mac & I'm not having much trouble. Stream stops to buffer every once in awhile though :lol
