I know that you can keep a game or movie 7 days past the due date, but I heard you can keep item and return it with 30 days with a $1.75 fine.

After keeping and item a week past it's due date, do they charge the full price to your membership or to your credit card? and while keeping an item for 30days, do they ever call and harass you to return the rental?

They charge it to your credit card, because they can't get money out of your 'membership,' whatever that is.

but then how do the erase the fee if you return it within 30days?

it's really confusing... as i understood it, they charge the full price of the game/movie minus whatever rental fee you've already paid (maybe just hold the funds) and if you return the thing within 30 days, they drop the hold or credit your account minus the 1.50.

Here's where I get really confused. I kept two games past my 7 day grace period. I got a letter in the mail telling me this, with the full price of the games lited as late dues.

I called after returning the games to see what I owed.... NOTHING !!!

I quote: "As long as you bring it back within 30 days you don't owe us anything"...

wtf? that can't be right, but there is no late fee on my account.

I imagine it's mostly just a threat for most people. They probably only start getting really active if you're chronic about it.

I just don't see how they're making any money... Those were two of my monthly free rentals I get for being a two months free subscriber to Blockbuster Online! Then I go and keep my stuff past my grace period...

I deserve to be on their blacklist, for sure... :lol
