Bloober Team's CEO Wants To Bring Horror Games Back To Nintendo In A Big Way

Bloober Team took the horror gaming world by storm last year with their remake of the classic Konami thriller, Silent Hill 2. The success of that title has led to the announcement that they intend to remake the first game as well, but they've also got other fare en route, like Cronos: New Dawn - which releases next week, in fact.

There's also a reverence at work here toward the golden age of Nintendo's forays into horror, and it might lead to exciting prospects for Bloober Team's own potential output on the nascent Nintendo Switch 2 console in the years to come.

It is being considered because Bloober Team is one of the few companies that has a development kit of Nintendo Switch 2... Just as 1 year ago there was a collaboration project between Bloober Team and Nintendo.... Possible return of Eternal Darkness?

A remake of Eternal Darkness would be great, getting to play a game from 3 different perspectives is something that hasn't been done in a while.

I wouldn't mind a Metroid horror take.

I don't know if it's the right console for that. At least I don't associate Nintendo with horror games. Even if Eternal Darkness was new and interesting at the time.

They should make a prequel to Luigi's mansion, where it turns out Luigi has been a hitman serial killer this whole time, and he's the one who caused all the ghosts.

Housewives don't play horror games, guess blooper need to learn this the hard way

This sentence is hilariously wrong, both within the context of this thread and in general.

Like, when did "housewives" become the stereotypical Switch 2 audience?

And women are a big chunk of the audience for horror games, especially if you're talking about the walking-simulator style horror games that Bloober Team cut their teeth on.

Doesn't mean shit if it isn't exclusive. Like, it's cool that people can play the game on there, but it doesn't change Nintendo's image if it's the same game as what's on every other platform.

I truly believe Bloober has what it takes to become a legendary developer

Their output has been consistently improving with every release. Lets see what Cronos has to offer and if the trend continues.
