Is there an established "best place" for farming Blood Chunks?

Unseen Chapel is about as good as it gets. If you have >150 discovery those weird undead werewolves drop one every 3-4 times you kill one. They're also worth well over 4000 echoes and are super easy to stunlock with a quick weapon so its a viable strategy. There's also a scurrying beast that drops 2 of them in the hidden area with the teleport pool with another undead werewolf.

The gargoyles in Cainhurst and wolves in Upper Cathedral District is where I'd go. Unfortunately, neither of them are really that great. Stat boost discovery when you do it.

For the chalices, should I set each subsequent chalice level on successive tombstones? Is there any advantage to keeping all lit at the same time or whatever?

End of Eileen quest spoilers -
where does Eileen go after finishing her quest? There's a pool of blood where she used to be. I was just wondering if it's implied that she's died or that she potentially survived?

Is this a glitch or have I just never seen these guys teleport before? lol

The legit way: whenever he's holding the katana one handed, you want to be careful not to spam r1, otherwise he can and will one shot you with a parry, so parry him instead, be patient, use numbing mist every now and then so that he won't heal (not guaranteed that it will work all the time). When he tricks up the chikage you have a bit more leeway to hit him, since he can't parry you then. Wait until his bone effect is gone and go all out.

The cheap way? Poison him, lure him to the entrance and fight him a bit there till he tricks up the katana, he'll start losing hp, you can either run around and bait him a few times while trading blows with him until he dies, or just flat out wait by the door, he will probably glitch and stand still while losing hp.

Even though he might be the hardest fight in the game, it's very satisfying when you kill him in a straight duel, so it's well worth it to learn his moveset and try to beat him at his own game imo.

EDIT: beaten xD

Using your supply of numbing mist isn't a very good strategy since he will only heal once. It's better to just carefully whittle him down and let him heal and use up his vial.

I didn't know he only healed once, well he never did more than once in my game but I always thought I just got lucky. If that is the case then using the mist is indeed useless. Let the guy heal, if a player can keep his cool and not be greedy he goes down quite reliably. Anyway, you learn something every day :)

So you can get effectively only 4 rocks from chalices and the rest you'll have to get from playthroughs?

I think you can get more. One per depth 5 chalice, per kind. So a rotten, a fetid, a cursed, a regular. Am I wrong?

Do the items you pick up affect the way a chalice is created?

Non-root chalices are always the same. Root chalices vary based on ingredients used to make them, and are randomized at creation time.

When you get to a big round room and there's no way to continue, you are done with that chalice. You have have so many slots to open a chalice. Erasing one free that tomb so you an open another one.

Do the items you pick up affect the way a chalice is created?
Nope. Chalice just requires materials. If you have enough, you can create it. The Root versions are random, with different layout, monsters and chest loots, while the normal ones are the same for everyone. You can find better loot in the Root Chalices.

All right. I'm stuck. I'm supposed to ascend Oedon chapel. Don't know where or what that is.
Oeden Chapel =
the safe place you encounter after Father Gascoigne.

Your next goal is to explore the area around it. There are at least 3 different bosses you can choose from here.

Yes I bought that emblem. I think I killed more than three bosses since then. I did get myself killed by some invisible monster in some big room.

What do you advise I spend points when leveling? My goal is to finish the chalice dungeons so I can get the platinum. Don't care much for pvp. I'm in NG+ and about to start the first Ailing Loran Chalice (as soon as I get enough damned ritual blood 4s). i primarily use Ludwigs +10 (physical dmg) and am considering trying the cane if I can get it to +10.

My current stats are:
-Vitality 38
-endurance 30
-strength 25
-skill 36
-Bloodtinge 7
-arcane 9

Blow up Vitality. At least 50 would be optimal and more than that is butter.
I used cane so the only other stat I really pumped was Skill. Pump up whatever does the most for LHB.

G
ehrman
is so cheap. That damn whirlwind attack he does is such bull, had completely full health (around level 40) and it took ALL of my health in one hit. Been stuck on him for days now.

OK just beat the game again. This time fixing all of my previous mistakes and getting the
last 2 remaining endings
and there's something that's bothering me...
The dolls last words are "Oh, good hunter," it ends with a comma like if she was going to say something else. It probably means nothing but my mind tells me "she was gonna say something important, cliffhanger"
:(

Got to and finished up Bloodstarved Beast a few hours ago. The fight went a lot better than all the other boss battles I've had so far, only died a few times before I got it, the last quarter of the fight was the only thing that was giving me trouble.

Couple questions:

1. At this point I have 11 insight, I thought that once I was at 10+ insight there would be an additional shop that unlocks in the Hunters Dream but I couldn't find it. Granted, I didn't look very hard but I didn't see anything infront of the house. Do I have to take an additional step or was I just not looking very hard?

2. Spoilers if you haven't completed the stuff I mentioned above and a little bit after.

After beating Bloodstarved beast I couldn't see an obvious way to move ahead so I started backtracking. Along the way I ran into an enemy with a huge sack slung over its back and died to it. I've moved onto the next area
unseen village
after said enemy and during my exploration I run into a spot with a couple of these guys. They're not too bad in the beginning but after sustaining enough damage they go into a frenzy and I just can't seem to take em on. Am I supposed to git gud or is this the design telling me to go explore elsewhere for now? If it helps, I'm late level 20-something or possibly early 30's.

1.)go inside the house and take the door on the left

2.)go to the cathedral ward and take the door on the right. Thats all im telling you. explore the area after that by yourself :D

Insight shop is directly above the regular messenger shop. And yes, you should git gud for those bag enemies. They're extremely aggressive but manageable.

Ps4 harddrive pooted out on me and I had to re-initialize the system. Turns out Bloodbournes saves were not backing up..
In hindsight, pretty sure the system was constantly bringing up on boot that there was an error uploading the save to cloud storage. Really should've looked into that..

..and so the hunt begins again.

Insight vender is outside that first door on left in the hunters dream.
After BSB you should head to cathedral ward. There's an optional area as your walking up towards grand cathedral go left to area. Good place to get you some levels

Your error uploading to cloud storage was probably cause your cloud storage is full. Go clean some stuff our

It's kind of amazing how intimidating Cleric Beast is the first time you fought him and now on a new character I defeat him in just one try with a level 4 Waste of Skin with little to no trouble, lol. I didn't even use any Molotovs and only use like, 5 blood vials total.

I think I coop'ed the entire game with a friend. I'd summon him to walk to the boss with me in my world then he'd summon me to walk him to his boss to beat it. Ddin't even solo any bosses til towards the end.

I'd say it worked for us 80% of the time with passwords. Other 20% we either waited a while or it didn't work.

There's a whole thread about this so consider yourself lucky. I've been trying every day for 3 days straight hour at a time to coop with a friend.

And yes I've done it before so I know it works but more like 90% not and 10 maybe.

Read the thread there's multiple pages of the same exact stories

well tbh i didn't find them hard.

cleric beast took 2 tries, gascoigne got him on my first try without the music box.

i only died 3 times to rom cause fuck that guy

Thanks, I'll look into that.good chance thats it. I have less than 10 games in the cloud storage. Does it really fill up that quickly?

Heh, DA: Inquisition alone has a 20 mb size per save file, so if you like, have 10 saves its 200 mb already, and that's just one character :/

I actually find Father G. to be more intimidating than Rom, hahaha.

Rom is pretty easy, I don't know why people seemingly have so much trouble with him. Shadows of Yharnam is much, much worse.

Damn haha, its the opposite for me. SoY are super damn easy for me, R

i know hes easy he is just fucking annoying

i mean hello heres a bunch of shit spiders thats easy to kill but i will spawn so meany you will get bored and try to go for me. Hes the shittiest boss in this game.

i also took down shadows of yharnam on 1 try even though i used 15 blood vials lol

Yeah, I cheesed him and felt bad about afterwards. I don't recommend to anyone doing that. He's actually a fun fight.

Eileen:
damn, the fight back in the Father Gascoigne boss arena with her running in to meet you and the dialogue after is so badass. One of my favorite moments in any From game. You don't all that often even get to fight along NPCs in non-phantom form under any circumstances. Plus she's cool as hell, great character.

Hey what's the Pvp "cap" ? Been slowly getting into Pvp. There's a few things I picked up since as always bowing before a match, no blood vials unless my opponent uses it, and if a beast suddenly aggros on whomever, back off and let them kill the beast.

Without a doubt, Abhorrent Beast has to be the biggest Dickhead boss in the game. Seriously, fuck that guy. So aggressive, runs at you, relentless extremely tough to Melee toe to toe.

Finally done with his ass in the chalices. Time for the final Chalice dungeon.

Eileen is amazing, I love her questline and the voice actress does an amazing job.

I was so pissed when
I encountered that cainhurst knight in the Grand Cathedral, I kicked his ass thoroughly without cheesing. One of the HARDEST FIGHTS in the game next to Ebrietas. RIP Eileen ;_;, I wear your armor as tribute.

Eileen is my Yharnam waifu. :P

Using your supply of numbing mist isn't a very good strategy since he will only heal once. It's better to just carefully whittle him down and let him heal and use up his vial.

I swear he can heal twice, but all the times I took to take him down blur into one a bit. Either way I agree that using numbing mist isn't a great idea though, considering it's hard to re-supply on (I think?).

The strategy I used was to dodge foward and to the left of his non-combo non-transformed attack. He lingers for a second or so after doing it, which is enough time to get a back stab in, even if he turns around the charge attack should stagger him and you can get a few good hits in (this was with the saw spear).

It's hard and sometimes frustrating so I can understand people cheesing it, but it's a very satisfying fight to beat legitimately.

It did disappoint me that
you don't get to buy the guys armour after beating him, it looks sick
