I've just played two bosses but once you get near to their place you can open up shortcuts.

Are those shortucts really near though?
I mean, because DS1 also has shortcuts, but still to reach Four Kings from the most near Bonfire, using the shortcuts, was quite tiring. Some other bosses either.

Don't know how is that in Bloodborne though, cause I have not played yet!

It takes a measly 2 minutes or so to get back to the boss if you're taking shortcuts starting from Firelink Shrine, but I could see it adding up until you get decent at making the run there.

I don't think the discussion here is in good faith.

People are saying he is critiquing Bloodborne specifically, which he is not. Everyone here agrees that violence in Bloodborne is justified. Nobody has commented on the ubiquity of violence in games or the prevalence of violent games in the press cycle. So we are not discussing his opinion, we are taking a surface view of his opinion as a straw man and railing against it.

But more than that, the thread has been derailed calling him an idiot, lunatic, and "deranged", as well as dredging up his old posts as a way to discredit him and not his opinion.

Yeah like I said at minimum I agree that this is not the place for what's going on.

After NZ recent victory over South Africa, I'm semi disappointed that when I get home and start up BB, there will be no cricket bat type weapon .

When I read stuff like this, it makes me genuinely grateful that 60fps does nothing to enhance my enjoyment of a game; it just looks different. I feel lucky in that respect.

Sub-30 on the other hand, that's a different kettle of fish.

I'm glad totalbiscut is being open to playing BB despite his well known hatred of all things 30fps. I always occasionally enjoy listening to the content patch and other things he puts up. Yes he can go into "PC is best mode" sometimes, and go off the mark like MS's DRM...but on the whole he's a pretty reasonable guy.

On the other hand, why are we paying attention to this other character who is hating the game for no reason? Just give it a rest you guys, if he doesn't like the game, giving him attention isnt going to make him stop slagging on it.

Or the weights are very different... but I don't usually see the two be off by much when all is said and done. Its likely on the cusp of 92/93 as it was bounding around this morning.

He doesn't like the combat or difficulty in the souls games. That's a valid stance of course, but people dismiss and ridicule him when he starts to come off as preachy and vocalizes it for what seems like an entire day.

For example, if he had simply said, "I understand why people enjoy the souls games, but I can't enjoy them because xyz," I don't think there would have been much of a reaction to it. I'm sure he understands that airing out these grievances in a more "hostile" manner via Twitter will elicit more (extreme) replies.

Uh, the game feels pretty solid to me. I'm a stickler for Framerate and, honestly, I'm pleasantly surprised at how much BB has improved from the Alpha.

It's still not perfect, but it hasn't affected my gameplay at all so far. I've barely even noticed it. Then again, I didn't notice the framepacing issue with NFS on release either so I may not be the best witness. Then again, I'm also the kind of guy who hates it when my PC games drop from 60 to 58 and will notice it instantly.

Saw them tweeting it a few times today, making a youtube video about it and then making another video about it in form of talking about it in the daily fix.

Is it normal to give so much coverage to accidental retailer listings?

I don't think you quite got my point. .

So people shouldn't wish for a sequel to W101, Bloodborne or D4 because that would mean the team would be busy with those exclusive properties instead of a mp title IP?

Exclusive titles bring many pros with them (for starter focusing on only one platform, smaller dev team and playing to a platform's strength) and for the developers (being front center on the platform holder's attention and the community embrace that comes with it), you can either embrace multi device ownership and enjoy exclusives or be content with a single platform and the multitude of good games that are at your disposal anyway.

If you really want to play BB then buy a PS4, ends of story. It's like people who were angry for SO's exclusivity when it was Sony who even got dibs on it first but refused to have IG retain IP rights.
BB is a success, a sequel will come out and will be exclusive but who knows who the director will be, probably not Miyazaki.

These are the good kind of exclusives, SO, Bayo 2, BB all exist thanks to the platform holders... no bullshit shenanigans like with Tomb Raider or exclusive DLC or timed or anything similar which bring nothing to the table for consumers and players alike.

Shorter (around half the lenght of DS1) if you don't dabble much in the Chalice dungeon (random generated but with exclusive enemies, bosses, loot...). Much longer than any Souls game if you go all in in the latter.
