I was't keeping up with Dark Souls pre-launch. I remember undead parish and undead burg being the primary two locations shown in demos and game presentation before release.

Do you folks remember if they showed locations like Lost Izalith, Catacombs, Duke's Archives, or Anor Londo before the game came out?

Hopefully it runs at 12 fps to keep the tradition going.

But you're wrong, someone finished the game in 45+ hours and you imply that it's a short game, based off one playthrough.
And then, you express your concern in regards to the enviroment, once again implying that the variety of the environments is bad basing it off screenshots of the same levels or are you perhaps talking about the grimdark theme the game has? What did you expect? A Green Hill Zone themed level? You're jumping way too fast to conclusions, wait a few days and see for yourself if your concerns have been justified.

nope, they didn't, and it made the game that much more amazing when we found those places.

It is not about getting banned from GAF. If the past has taught us anything publishers lurk these threads. I remember Ubisoft videos/streams being taken down the minute they were posted here.

Because some of them (me for example) find the streams on PS Live and thus have no link. You won't get banned from GAF for linking them though, but you might get the stream banned faster by linking it.

Its pre release. Sony and FROM clearly don;t want too much of the game to be public before the release date hence the restrictions on what journalists can reveal, the places they have shown in videos and images and the stream closing.

Spoilers have a way of spreading beyond those who experience them firsthand. I don't know if that's the rationale, but I can kind of see why they'd care about that.

I guess I have three questions before I preorder. How are the graphics? Is it smooth clear and detailed? Hard to find a good hd video that shows this. I don't want a game that was made for ps3 uprezzed for current gen. Does the game have a story? Is there a point to beating the game? Or do we just run around killing bosses. Lastly, if I didn't like lords of the fallen one bit, will I like this? I played the original Demon Souls on ps3, beat it and loved it. Haven't played any of the Dark souls games.

Does 'Skill' affect the speed of ALL weapons? Are there weapons that scale with skill? How does the 'Halberd' weapon scale? Can you change the scaling of weapons via those bloodgems? (e.g. Strength => Skill).
