Q- when you die do you lose all your exp/progress back to your last save point?

Or do you keep everything and just enemies respawn?

You lose all of the blood echoes you have on your, thats for everything in game, buying stuff, leveling, upgrading so on. If you die, you have one chance to get it back, if you fail, everything is lost.

To get it back you have to simply go to where you died and kill the monster.

I really wish I lived in a city where I could get games early, just so I could steam them and annoy those watching with my playstyle.

Given that I live in Chicago, the third largest city in the US, it's actually pretty absurd that there are no stores around here that break street dates.

If your playstyle includes purposely not picking up items in a Souls game, you're not going to far lol.

Wait until you can level up to defeat that enemy. You should open the shorcut next to him, tho.

Houses with lamps do have npc's in them, you can talk to them through the windows and/or doors.

The Loot icons take a few seconds to appear, now I know why people always miss picking up the items.

Go for the easier ones first. Maybe use some throwing items to lure single enemies out of a group.

Every enemy in the Souls games can be killed bare-handed. But you should wait until you and your weapons are better imo.
