BLOODBORNE Spoiler Thread (read OP)

They have the disease but in a very early stage.
What is the disease? I'm so confused.

Take a closer look at those humans. They aren't normal. Also most of the story comes from reading items and talking to NPCs.

So there are no explanations or cut scenes to help the player along? It seems like that is how this game was designed correct? Rather than how Bungie did it with Destiny. Though I still have no clue what a Hunter is and why I am hunting?

is shooting the only way to 'parry' in this game? did you lose the ability to parry with offhand weapons or to block while 2 handing a weapon?

yes. if you shoot during their swing animation, you will stun them and can go for a critical hit.

there is at least one shield but rumors are it isn't good

Nope. Just bits and pieces from NPCs, and descriptions from items etc. Altough I guess that the strategy guide might contain some extra info. But no worries, there will be a Bloodborne wiki with a gazillion theories within a week ;)

hint for the streamer,

don't run or evade when attacked, if you attack the enemy right after you receive damage you can recover some of your life.

No, Bungie hid the story in their website in long ass useless text, in Souls games the lore is inside the game & it's not in 500 paragraphs.

As you go through talking to people and explore, you will piece together what's going on. Yeah they are designed that way. Kinda confusing at first, but you start to pick it up. Think the only cut scenes are for boss battles.

So I'm guessing the doors with lamps out front have NPCs behind them?

Yep!

I see he went with the superior starting weapon. All those floppy physics, that would be a killer feature for SotFS, floppy physics for all!

These games tell their stories in a much different way than most. Pay close attention to NPC dialogue and read item descriptions. You'll piece it all together as you go along.
